Loot
Requirements:
- KBPL
- If the version in the title is higher than the one on the 'recent files' list, then you will have to wait until bukkit approves the latest version since KBPL could be updated and have code that does not work with previous versions of the plugin.
What it does:
The title pretty much says it all! But to be a bit more detailed, Loot makes it easy to create chests with randomly generated loot. The best part? No commands. Oh did I mention that it adds random enchantments to armor and weapons and can spawn random potions? Yeah, that too. Its the perfect loot generator for custom dungeons and worlds with randomly generated schematics.
Features:
- Automatic Chest Regeneration Refills chests automatically using a list of items that you configure.
- Enchantments You can configure whether loot chests will spawn items with random enchantments, or you can specify the enchantments yourself.
- Potion Effects Same as the enchantments, but with potions.
- Item naming Specify a name for the items spawned in a chest! You can also configure the plugin to let it add a random preffix/suffix to enchanted items, dependent of the enchantments applied.
- Lore Add lore to any item for that true rpg feel!
- Books You can set the title, author and text of books generated!
- Colors You can set the colors of the names/lore/whatever of each item.
- Randomness A lot of the properties of any item can be randomized, including the enchantments applied, name, amount, data value, chance for it to spawn at all, etc.
- Redstone Force a chest to reset by powering the sign!
- Uses Soulbound You can download the soulbound plugin for added functionality! Visit the plugin page here.
How it works:
Important Notes:
- Requires KBPL
- The way bukkit names effects is different than the default minecraft effects, so here are some tables of the names you should use on the config file:
Enchantments
Potion Types
- You can find the color codes here.
Permissions:
- loot.sign.create - Lets you create Loot signs.
- loot.sign.break - Lets you break Loot signs.
- loot.command.name - Ability to use the command /loot name
- loot.command.reload - Ability to use the command /loot reload
- loot.list.x - Permission to open loot chests of x list
Requesting new features:
If this plugin is missing that certain special feature, bribe me and I will gladly work on it!
While I am updating and squashing bugs for free, working on new features requires time and everyone knows that time equals money.
I am however, open to suggestions that are directly related and crucial to the plugin.

Posted Jan 14, 2013I accidentally left out the per-world feature of the plugin in v2.4.4! Don't worry though, I already uploaded v2.4.5 with the fix, should be approved soon :)

Would you consider putting the source code online (or providing an API and JavaDoc) so that other developers may hook into your plugin?

The plugin is going through more changes than expected, so it will take me more time to upload. The current version of the plugin should work with the latest bukkit version though, and all the changes will only be internal so the configuration wont change.

Posted Jan 12, 2013I am currently reworking the plugin from scratch since I know better ways to code it now. Most of the changes will just be internal and not noticeable but it will make the code more efficient and readable. I'll probably be done with it today since I have a lot of free time :)

Posted Jan 12, 2013Please add commands :D. So you point at a chest and says something like: /loot set 10 (10 min. respawn time) common (the list it uses). That would be awesome dude ;).

Apparently there is no number before the ':' on the third line of the sign
If that is not the case then do a quick screenshot of the sign so I may check for any errors :)

Posted Jan 11, 2013I'm back!
I will only work on updating and fixing bugs though, no new features because I have my own separate projects going on that require my attention. (Unless of course, you bribe me hahaha)
Decided to work on my plugins again seeing that this one is being used a lot, so I will at least update it :)

Posted Jan 10, 2013Just wanted to say thank you. I was expecting this to be a dinky plugin where I'd have to find out something to make it so players have to be far away for more loot, but it's waaaay better than I expected. WAS JUST ABOUT TO SUGGEST TO ADD CUSTOM LIST SUPPORT OH MY GOD. I love you sir. This is great for my dungeon crawler server!! <333

Tihs basically means that it is not updated to work with 1.4.6, you will have to either edit the source code yourself (if you know java) or wait for the developer to update it (which is unlikely, being he has been offline since October).

Posted Jan 2, 2013Having a hard time getting this to work. When I start up my server I get the following message:
http://pastebin.com/5Y76Cpua
and then if I attempt to make a loot sign and then open the chest above it, I get an endless string of only:
at me.kmacho.bukkit.loot.LootListener.getRandom(LootListener.java:476) at me.kmacho.bukkit.loot.LootListener.getContents(LootListener.java:274)
These two lines repeat at least 300 times, possibly infinitely.
So I'm really not sure what's up. Just thought I'd report this for developer purposes.

Posted Jan 1, 2013I dont know about you guys but im using bukkit 1.4.5 and this plugin works with the loot, however you cannot use the items you get from the chests for crafting, i have no idea why, but for instance if you craft some sticks, and you try to add those stick to a stack of sticks you got from a chest, it just switches stacks as with charcoal and coal, i believe this has to do with the Item IDs of the looted items. Please fix this as my server is built off of this plugin for looting and surviving in a zombie apocalypse, if you want to see exactly what i mean please go to my server: apocalyptica.hopto.org
Thank you! -Lamp

I don't know how to post in this case an error, so i am so impolite an post the error as a comment. Sorry!
The error is produced by Craftbukkit 1.4.6 R.0.1 (Beta-Build) I throw the plugin Loot in the plugins folder (Firsttime) and start the server and this error message is produced: So, if you can fix it, it would be great. Loot Plugin is important for Hunger-Games and other things. :) good slide in the new year. 'Excuse my bad english :-/'
