lolnetAuth Protection Plugin
lolnetAuth is a really easy to use security plugin for your server! Players are required to register upon first joining your server and then every time they join the server they are required to log in before they can do anything.
This plugin was developed because of the complexity of other Auth plugins so lolnetAuth was developed from the ground up to be simple but secure! You can see a currently working version on lolnet.co.nz
Commands:
- /login yourpassword
- /register yourpassword youremail
- /recover
- /changepassword yourpassword yourpasswordagain
How to Use
Basic Setup:
Just drag and drop the jar file into your plugins folder and restart/reload your server. The plugin will then use our cloud based MySQL server to authenticate your users! No need to do any backups, and you can run multiple servers all linked with the same authentication!
Advanced Setup
lolnetAuth currently only works with a phpbb3 forum, all you have to do is make sure your forum is installed correctly to a MySQL server and that your default table's are "phpbb_" and then put your MySQL server information into the config.yml file that lolnetAuth creates! This allows you to link your Minecraft Server with your forum!

also is there a password recovery? could admins on my server, reset or unregister a certain user ? Any way for a user to /unregister?

If setting up a MySQL database is too complicated then just leave it with the default config and it'll use our cloud based MySQL database. All you have to do is drop the plugin into your plugins folder and it'll work straight away. The point of this plugin is to integrate with a forum system if you need it to, so if we used SQLite or Flat File storage it would defeat the purpose of this plugin.
Your password must be at least 6 characters or more, it is explained in the video. You can have a password almost as long as you like.

Posted May 25, 2013possible to allow more than 6 characters long password? like a max of 14 characters? I don't feel safe with using 6 characters for passwords. :(
Also instead of using MySQL, can we use something else? I don't really know how to use MySQL as it seems sort of complicated.

In terms of telling players what plugin you are running, I'd rather not do security through obscurity. Any auth plugin should work 100% because someone who is looking to take down your server is going to know the various auth plugins.
Bungeecord support is something I'll add to the todo list!

This is his first plugin and actually has some nice features, Please refrain from advertising another users plugin on a Bukkit-Dev post, Especially after you claimed in your post that advertising is annoying.

Posted Apr 25, 2013Sorry man, there are some reasons that may make user unhappy including me: a) Telling players that server is running this plugin is kind of dangerous, because sometimes a bug occur, even in AuthMe and than hackers can take over control. b) Advertising is annoying. When the user join I need to display to him MOTD and not some ad.
BTW great plugin but You have to remove the ad in order to get some downloads.

Posted Apr 25, 2013Please remove advertising on login, maybe just a link when u do /auth for instance, Bungeecord support ( at least that it gets the valid ip, bungeecord hides ip! ) and bungeecord support but then that u dont have to re-log every time u connect to a different server.
