LogManage is Awsome!
Features:
- /logclear - Cleares the log file
- /logdelete - Delete log file upon server shutdown.
- /loginfo - Show information about log file size. [BETA]
- With permission nodes
Compatibility
This plugin has been tested to work on craftbukkit [1.2.5] and [1.2.4] You need a permissions system or OP to use the command.

I've been wondering that too--how beneficial a periodic archiving of the server.log file. The host I'm currently using warns not to let your server.log exceed 150MB, so it might be worth while to have the following features:
Either at a scheduled time or at a particular size:
* Clear the log OR
* move/compress the log to a specified location.
