MyMessages is a plugin for bukkit which gives you the possibility to change your Login and Logoff messages to whatever you want. And you can stop people from swearing in chat! The plugin supports color codes.
Prefix for the messages:
$p = (the player)
$s = (The ServerName, has to be configured in the bukkit config.)
Commands
LoginMessage
- Command: /loginmsg <The Message>
- Description: Changes your Login-Message.
- Permission: lm.in
Logoff
- Command: /logoffmsg <The Message>
- Description: Changes your Logoff-Message.
- Permission: lm.off

Instead use PermissionsEx, make ranks from there. Look at the commands for the plugin, create all groups, set users to groups, set prefixes (eg. [Premium] ) with that plugin. It's quite easy, but easier if you do in-game. However, it could be easier to do it from the console and then add yourself to the [Owner/Admin] group. Then add your group permissions from here by doing doing /pex group <group name> add permissionhere.

You can also use Group Manager, bpermissions, easypermissions to name a few, but I find PermissionsEx [pex] to be the best multi-world soultion, which I believe only group manager and pex are from that list (haven't looked into many).
