LogBlock
Works 100% with 1.7 / 1.8
The best block logging and rollback solution for the savvy server administrator.
LogBlock is the best block logging plugin for Bukkit server. Not only is it awesomely powerful, it’s blazing fast! Everything is logged into a MySQL database, allowing developers to hook in and produce things such as player stats and even administrative panels. Every loggable action can be logged with LogBlock: WorldEdit, leave decay, fire, sign changes, explosions, chest changes, player and animal deaths, chat, commands and more!
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
LogBlock will very rarely break between Minecraft / Bukkit updates, however if you find it does, please be sure to try a development build from above, as we generally test new releases there until deemed stable.
What is LogBlock?
LogBlock is a tool which allows you to keep track of almost everything on your server, while also giving you the ability to rollback (revert) or redo changes made by users and natural occurrences such as liquid flow or leaf decay. Additionally, LogBlock is able to log and rollback chest contents, sign text and more! LogBlock was originally created by bootswithdefer for HMod, ported to Bukkit by DiddiZ and is now actively maintained by md_5, ammar2 and the community of developers on Bukkit. We accept pull requests on GitHub frequently which means that community developers can add features they wish to see quicker than LogBlock developers are able to from tickets. All database actions are run not only in their own threads, but are queued into a consumer to minimize lag on the main thread. This is great for larger servers! All optional features (not dependencies below) are enabled and disabled from within the config file allowing complete control over what is logged thus ensuring database size is kept to a minimum.
Notices
Most virtual chest plugins are not compatible with LogBlock. Because they do not set the player who is opening the “chest”, LogBlock can’t do what it’s meant to be able to do, thus, making errors in your console. Please report these issues to the fake-chest plugin developer, NOT LogBlock developers.
Issues are read more frequently on the GitHub Issues page as compared to the comments below. When updating to LB1.57, if you already have a large database and have changed your columns to MEDIUMINT, INT or LARGEINT, you do not need the updater to fix this for you automatically. To stop this behaviour, simply change “version” in the configuration to ‘1.57’.
If you are experiencing an error such as this please read the FAQ for answers.
If you're receiving errors regarding players from the consumer such as "[Consumer] Failed to add player <playername>" then change all `playerid` columns to MEDIUMINT or INT in each table that contains them. This may take a long time if you have a lot of rows.
Optional Dependencies
- WorldEdit (Recommended)
- Permissions plugin
- LogBlock Questioner

it doesn't yet have all of the features that logblock has currently, and since logblock currently works fine, I don't yet see a reason to switch :p Logblock is being maintained.

Posted Apr 20, 2012Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that development teams of both Logblock and Hawkeye finally released their new security plugin called Guardian here: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/guardian/. md_5 said, "Same user interface as Logblock Database structure and backend system of Hawkeye'. I tested it out on my Minecraft 1.2.5 server last night. So far, its been great!

19.04 03:35:57 [Server] SEVERE Error occurred while enabling LogBlock v1.50
current version is 1.5.2 :) Download it from the dev link at the top. On another note, the wildcard permission '*' is not the best way to setup permissions generally. As far as logblock is concerned, logblock.* is ok. You will need to go into the config and setup permissions in the config for logblock's default tool behavior.
Example:
This is how we run it on our server, and you basically have to give someone the permission node to be able to use the tool, otherwise it has no use at all. It can be quite annoying for a member to right-click with either tool and receive the error for no permissions otherwise.

Hello! I'm creating new plugin, and I'm going to log it actions to the LogBlock? I need something in block history something like that: "This block was removed (or placed, or clicked... etc) by <player name> with <plugin name>" Is it possible?

Posted Apr 18, 2012Having problems here. I am admin with * node.
We reset our maps and I deleted all sql tables EXCEPT the player (containing join date time played etc) all other tables have generated fine, /lb tool and all /lb commands work fine.
But when I try to right click a block with the tool in my hand, nothing happens.
If I use the toolblock it just places the block, if I use the stick (or pickaxe) to right click, nothing will happen!
Edit: I am using PEX, all my plugins (around 30) do work with PEX but I get this 1 error on startup:

Posted Apr 18, 2012LogBlock seems to have stopped login with 1.2.5 (RB) for me I am running latest dev build and get a totally fine start without any errors. I tried deleting the tables in the mysql database and it set them back up without any problems, but it does not write any data into them.
Anyone have suggestions?

Look at the fix found earlier in the comments for the out of range issue.
@wiiztec
Gaurdian will adventually be logblock, BigBrother's successor. It's not done yet.
LogBlock works for 1.2.5 RB 1. Simply download the latest Dev build from:
http://diddiz.insane-architects.net:8080/job/LogBlock/
Questioner You will want to simply download from:
https://github.com/downloads/DiddiZ/LogBlockQuestioner/LogBlockQuestioner%20v0.03.zip
@Ako17
without LogBlockQuestioner.jar in your plugins folder, on a logblock rollback it won't ask, it just does it. It also allows you to purge the rollback log from your database, which without questioner, it wouldn't do.

Edit: I had to update LogBlockQuestioner, now it works. But... why is this separate if it's needed? Confusing. Whatever.
