Server at maintenance

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

WARNING: This plugin needs ProtocolLib to function, do not forget to install it first

This plugin will allow you to switch your server to maintenance mode so only people whitelisted in config will be able to join,
also it will change motd and pingmessage to indicate the users that server is at maintenance.
So it will look something like this.

Features:

Changes pingmessage
Changes motd
Customiseable messages with color codes support

Commands
/mmode on - enable maintenance
/mmode off - disable maintenance
/mmode reload - reload config
Permission: mmode.admin

Permission to join while maintenance is active : mmode.join

Config

PingMessage: '&6Maintenance' #message near ping
MOTD: '{motd} &4At maintenance' #motd  ({motd} will be automatically replaced by server motd)
KickMessage: 'Server is at maintenance. Please come back later.' #kick message
KickNonAllowedOnMModeEnable: true #kick non allowed on maintenance mode enable

I have a problem, when im restarting my server, the MaintenanceMode is automatically disabled..

I think you could just go into your plugins folder, change it, and then do "/mmode reload" to just reload it instead of your server (temporary fix for now anyway)

Hi,

I am really interested in using your plugin but I would like it so you could set multiple reasons in the config so I wouldn't have to keep changing the config every time I want the reason to be different. Could you add it so there can be multiple reasons?My server takes a long time to restart and I don't want users joining before the server is ready. And, I want the maintenance mode aswell.

I will be very grateful if you could do this :)

so is this backwards compatible with 1.5.1??? my server is running perfectly here and i do plan on updating but the time is not right so i would like to use this but i need it to work for what im using now too

Current plugin version does not support 1.7.2

You should get the latest development build from jenkins, it will work.

it doesnt change the motd or anything all it does is stop people from joining

Maybe idea for adding a command for add players to Allowed List and command for remove the players from Allow List.

And maybe a possibility for allowed players when server in maintenance to join the server. Now is that possibility blocked.

Just a note to all users: This plugin won't work at 1.7 so wait until i will rewrite it before leaving a comment. (I need protocollib, so until the protocllib is updated don't even ask about the update)
