LocalChat
A simple chat plugin that makes you talk in a limited range. This plugin overrides basic chat, so just type like normal, and your text will automatically be limited to the range specified in the configuration!
Features

Permissions
- localchat.global: Default true
- Allows players to send messages to the world
- Allows players to send messages to the world
- localchat.listen: Default false
- Allows players to listen to local chat messages (even if they are out of range)

- IgnoreChat
- Factions
Do not use with
- ChannelChat
- BOTH ChannelChat and LocalChat are plugins that add "channels," or otherwise change the behavior of chat, to the server. They will NOT work well together.

Posted Mar 22, 2015Nice plugin. It adds an extra layer of game play & immersion for me. You definitely have to be careful not to talk out-load when danger is around(Hostile players). Keep up the fantastic work feildmaster! :-)

Posted Oct 7, 2013Clearly this is not compatible with factions. It doesn't work at all with it.
I tried running a server with only factions and local chat, and it doesn't work (you can speak as usual, as if Local Chat had no effect). Deleting factions makes it work.
Could you add support for the newest version of Factions? :)

Posted Sep 8, 2013Is it possible to set up multiple local channels(of different ranges) with this plugin? I'd like to give players access to different "voice levels," such as whispering, yelling, and normal talking. (Though I'd also like to set up a global out-of-character channel.)

Posted Mar 1, 2013When an op sends a msg to a non op player not within range, the non op gets the message, but the op gets the msg 'no one within range of your voice..' Can we get a fix on the shout permission, not even an op player can use shout. Sorry for asking.
