This is my first proper plugin, if you need anything added to it.. please let me know :)
Commands:
/url [url] [alias]

- Allows you to shorten your URL's before sending them ingame.
- Shortens URL's that are too long in chat.

Posted Jun 14, 2012Sometimes is.gd fails. I posted a link to an image of minecraft sircles and is shortened a link for newbies how to intall minecraft to your computer.
I pasted the link again and it shortened a link for pink fluffy plush animals :)
Can you please add a configuration to change the shortener server?

Posted Apr 24, 2012Ok guys... im working on this "error catcher" that notifies the user when an error has happened.. for example, if your Server cannot contact the URL shortening service, it will show an error and try again after a second delay. It will try to connect up to 5 times and if it fails it will stop the conversion and create a normal url and show an error: "Could not shorten this url"

I can try both.. maybe a command for the check link though.. And i can make it retry possibly.. or i could make it say an internal error occured.. But if it retryed the chat message may take more time to be delivered than usual.

Posted Apr 23, 2012I love the listener. There may be an unintended side effect to using this plugin as it stands. You cannot see what the target tinyurl points to without clickcing it. I feel like it would be beneficial to still see the overly long url, then show the tinyurl below it.
Some plugins, like craftirc, choke and die if they lose connection to the server they are connected to, including possibly taking the minecraft server down with them. Is there any failsafe if LMTURLTFY can't reach the target url shortner service?
