Lands of Craft Den

A Roleplaying Adventure

Concept

The basic concept is to extend mcMMO to include Race, Class, stamina, dexterity, mana, and other stats into a DnD-inspired character sheet... Lands of Craft Den aims to be Story-teller driven adventure for parties of 4 or more. A "Dungeon Master" is required to guide the players throughout the duration of their journey. Character creation could take seconds or several minutes depending on gaming style. The idea is to bring DnD-styled roleplay to the casual and advanced gamer. Creating your character could be automated and randomized, or tweaked to your liking attribute by attribute.

DnD-inspired Character Sheet

Character Sheet prototype: Character Sheet Tree. I plan to integrate with the Citizens 2 mod so that NPC's operate by the same set of rules and stats.

Races

There are four race classifications, each with its own limitations and benefits.
  • Organics
    • Dice: 1d6
    • Classes: up to 2 active classes
    • Skills: up to 3 active skill paths
    • Other Attributes: Health, Mana, Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, Charisma
  • Hybrids
    • Dice: 2d12
    • Classes: up to 4 active classes
    • Skills: up to 6 active skill paths
    • Other Attributes: Health, Mana, Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, Charisma
  • Techs
    • Dice: 4d20
    • Classes: up to 1 active classes
    • Skills: up to 8 active skill paths
    • Other Attributes: Health, Mana, Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, Charisma
  • Immortals
    • Dice: 8d100
    • Classes: all classes
    • Skills: all skill paths
    • Other Attributes: Health, Mana, Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, Charisma
  • Dice-based leveling system

Dice rolls are used to randomize the outcome several events including a player's advantage or disadvantage. Choosing a Race and Class dictates the balance and style of gameplay. Player stats will be generated by the dice specified for each race. Some players will have advantages over others. It is advised that the "Stronger" races be reserved for "Boss" characters or NPC's in the storyline. This system intends to play out like an on-going struggle between allied groups from all walks of life.

    Dice rolls

Here are the various rolls that will occur during the character creation process and when leveling.
    • Player Attributes (HP, MP, STR, DEX, INT, CHAR)
      • ATR = (Level * 10) + (class modifiers) + roll
      • For example, HP (Health) would be calculated for a "Level 2 Hybrid Fighter" like this: (2 * 10) + ([2d12 roll] + [2d12 roll]) + [2d12 roll]
      • This will be true for all player attributes. The formula is just a placeholder should probably be adjusted a few times :)
    • Player Class (Scout, Fighter, Observer, Hacker, Illusionist, Citizen)
      • CL (Total Class Points) = (Level + ATR + Skills) + roll
      • Total Class Points are used to calculate how much XP it takes to gain another level
    • XP required per Level
      • (Level / 3) + (CL + SK)
      • In order to gain a leve, Players will have to gain one-third their Level and add that to their max Skill and Class Point total
      • This will likely change often until a heathy progressive balance is discovered.
    • Most races will fall under one of the three classifications. For example, Humans, Elves, Orcs, etc.. would fall under Organics. Vampires, Werewolves, Cyborgs, etc... fall under Hybrids. Robots, Computers, Autobots, etc.. fall under Tech. Immortals are reserved for NPCs and OPs - they encompass any "godly" race and are VERY HARD to take down.

      Player Descriptions

Players may write brief descriptions of appearance or backstory for other players to read upon right-click

      Sign Emote Emitter

A sign that emotes a message in chat to any players that walk by. Emotes can be stored and loaded later in multiple locations using a special #hashtag typed into a sign.

      Custom BGM

Set custom battle music for specific worlds and/or biomes

      The Pig Track

Kind of like the Horse Track... this will allow you to bet on players riding pigs (or thrown chickens!) - percentage of the proceeds go to the server
