What is KingKits?
KingKits is not the ordinary kit plugins that allows players to use kits in PvP. This plugin is special as it has in-game commands that allows you to create kits and delete kits. You can also use /pvpkit <kit> or a sign to choose a kit.

Requirements
If economy is enabled in the config, Vault is required.
Creating KingKits signs
1. Place down a sign.
2. On the first line type "[Kit]" (configurable).
3. On the second line type the kit name.
4. On the other lines you can type whatever you like.
5. Right click on the sign to activate it.
Note - If your kit sign in the config is set to "[Kit]", you must disable Essentials kits for KingKits signs to work.

You can use the source code from this plugin as long as you give credit to KingFaris10. You cannot just copy the whole plugin.
KingKits also has an API class that allows you to do many things, such as get player kits, create kits, delete kits, etc.
Metrics
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
You can opt out of this service by editing plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Updater
This plugin utilizes Gravity's plugin updater to check for updates.
To disable update checking for KingKits only, set 'Updater.Enabled' in '/plugins/KingKits/config.yml' to false. To disable update checking for all plugins, set 'disable' to 'true' in 'plugins/Updater/config.yml'.

Purpose
The purpose of this plugin was to help PvP servers get a kit plugin that allows players to use kits with enchantments, lores and custom names. Also, if you do have a developer or you are one, you can make your own special abilities.
F.A.Q
Q: My scoreboard's stuck when I deleted the plugin!
A: /scoreboard objectives remove KingKits
Q: It's saying I don't have permissions to use that kit even if I give them kingkits.kit.use!
A: Have you given them the permission node for the actual kit? kingkits.kits.<kit>.
Q: It's saying I don't have permission to use the command even if I give them kingkits.kits.<kit>!
A: Same as the previous answer, but give them kingkits.kits.use.
Q: I keep getting the error: "Could not load 'plugins/KingKits.jar' in folder 'plugins' org.bukkit.plugin.InvalidPluginException: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: me/faris/kingkits/KingKits : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0 at "
A: Calm down, you require Java 7, and running the server on Java 7. This is not much of a problem since most other plugins are built against Java 7. If you have Java 7 installed and it still comes up with this error, it means you have a previous version of Java installed (e.g. Java 6) as well as Java 7. Make sure to run your server on Java 7 by either changing the start-up script or contacting your host.

Posted Dec 10, 2014Hello, I downloaded KingKits and KingKits special, and they are awesome plugins, but none of the Special kits seem to work, or the special plugin in general. Could you tell me what version of Each I need to get for them to actually work?

KingKits and KingKitsSpecial have been updated, however:
I will no longer be uploading the updates to BukkitDev as Bukkit has died. However, one main alternative still continues thanks to the great work of the author, and I have uploaded both KingKits and KingKitsSpecial to their Resources section on the forums. You can either search for the project there, or view my KingKits tutorial on my Youtube page which may or may not have the link. The updated version (KK v3.0.2 and KKSpecial v1.1.4) is already up on that website.

I'll try to fix as many bugs as possible before the release of v1.1.4. This may be the last release, depending on whether I want to take this plugin chill or just not work on it anymore.
Note: I've already fixed the inventory bug and now possibly unlimited potions not working.

Can you possibly test the updated KingKits I just made in less than a minute, I think I fixed it. Can you please private message me and I'll send you the link. I'm not sure if this is against the ToS of BukkitDev so just incase, I'll put a disclaimer here.

Posted Nov 28, 2014Pokuit has not told me anthing and hasn't given me any updates. He seems inactive. I'll be updating this again since I've started to play again, but I'll be taking this project not like a proper project, but as a side, fun project. I won't be updating this actively.

Same thing is happening to me. Player has items in world 1 where kingkits isn't enabled. Player goes to world 2 where kingkits is enabled. Player gets kit. Player goes back to world 1. Player has lost all items in world 1. This is with multiverse inventories. http://pastebin.com/CCWTNfSN

Personally I think that the code for KingKits is getting too big and complex for any person who's interested in the source code but hasn't programmed too much to look at, I think this bug is something stupid I did but it may be hard to find the bug and so if you can't find it, I recommend (you don't have to) you do either of the following:
1. Rewrite the whole of KingKits which probably'll take a long time and I don't see any rewards from doing it but self-accomplishment and you knowing that other people are happy due to your work.
2. Abandon KingKits, it is getting too big to handle the bugs with only one person.
3. Create a team of people, preferably very experienced programmers or people who can follow Oracle Java's programming conventions. :)

It isn't client side, this is a previously reported bug. I believe the problem is with data values, as clicking on players with grey dye changes it to red dye for my server as well.

Nope, same is happening to me and i have both normal golden apples and enchanted ones in the kit. You get both kinds when you take the kit and they work as they are supposed to until you hit someone with the normal ones. It's the same with any kind of potion, they all become regeneration potions.

Posted Nov 6, 2014@mb1552 looks like an inventory update happening when you click on the player. Perhaps the kit was giving a super apple (you entered the id/data wrong?) though for some reason it wasn't glowing client side.

Not 100% sure, but when you give a kit a golden apple, when you hit any player with said golden apple the golden apple turns into a super golden apple!

Doesn't work with a golden apple that is spawned in, only ones given with the kit!
