Customizing Your Guild Part 1: Things you should know before modifying your guild
Guilds comes packaged with up to 10 ranks for each guild. They are defined as such;
- Rank 10: Leader Rank
- Rank 9: Officer Rank
- Rank 8: Normal Rank
- ...7,6,5,4,3,2, all Normal Ranks
- Rank 1: Normal Rank, default "lowest" rank
There are only 2 constants across ALL guilds in the system:
- Rank 9 is ALWAYS the "Officer" rank - this rank has more abilities than Ranks 1-8, but less abilities than Rank 10 (leader).
- Rank 10 is ALWAYS the "Leader" rank - this rank has all guild abilities (setting a new leader, disbanding the guild, modifying the guilds properties, etc).

Customizing Your Guild Part 2: Reduce the number of ranks your guild has
For examples sake, let's say you want your guild to have 4 ranks (including Officer (Rank 9) and Leader (Rank 10)).
- Type: /guild setdefaultrank 7
This sets your guild to contain: Rank 7 (normal rank), Rank 8 (normal rank), Rank 9 (officer rank), Rank 10 (leader rank). Ranks 1-6 technically "won't exist" for your guild - new members will start at Rank 7, and cannot go below that.
Another example, let's say you want your guild to have 8 ranks.
- Type: /guild setdefaultrank 3
This sets your guild to contain: Rank 3 (normal rank), Rank 4 (normal rank), Rank 5 (normal rank), Rank 6 (normal rank), Rank 7 (normal rank), Rank 8 (normal rank), Rank 9 (officer rank), Rank 10 (leader rank). Ranks 1-2 technically "won't exist" for your guild - new members will start at Rank 3, and cannot go below that.

Customizing Your Guild Part 3: Set custom rank names for each rank
By default, here are the rank names:
- Rank 10: "Leader"
- Rank 9: "Officer"
- Rank 8: "Founder"
- Rank 7: "Veteran+"
- Rank 6: "Veteran"
- Rank 5: "Member+"
- Rank 4: "Member"
- Rank 3: "Recruit+"
- Rank 2: "Recruit"
- Rank 1: "Cupcake"
For examples sake, lets say you want your guild to have military style ranks: In this case, you would type...
- "/guild renamerank 10 SupremeGeneral"
- "/guild renamerank 9 General"
- "/guild renamerank 8 Colonel"
- "/guild renamerank 7 Major"
- "/guild renamerank 6 Captain"
- "/guild renamerank 5 Lieutenant"
- "/guild renamerank 4 Cadet"
- "/guild renamerank 3 Sergeant"
- "/guild renamerank 2 Corporal"
- "/guild renamerank 1 Private"
Which would make all of your guilds ranks look like...
- Rank 10: "SupremeGeneral"
- Rank 9: "General"
- Rank 8: "Colonel"
- Rank 7: "Major"
- Rank 6: "Captain"
- Rank 5: "Lieutnant"
- Rank 4: "Cadet"
- Rank 3: "Sergeant"
- Rank 2: "Corporal"
- Rank 1: "Private"
Another example, lets say you want your guild to have fruit themed ranks, and your guild only has 4 ranks. In this case, you would type...
- "/guild renamerank 10 Strawberry"
- "/guild renamerank 9 Pineapple"
- "/guild renamerank 8 Grape"
- "/guild renamerank 7 Apple"
Which would make all of your guilds ranks look like...
- Rank 10: "Strawberry"
- Rank 9: "Pineapple"
- Rank 8: "Grape"
- Rank 7: "Apple"

Customizing Your Guild Part 4: Set the maximum # of members for your guild
Very simple, type:
- "/guild setmaxmembers <#>"
If I wanted my guilds max members to be 15, I would type:
- "/guild setmaxmembers 15"
If one of your guild leadership tries to invite a player to the guild when your guild is already at (or over) the max # of members, it will notify them that they can't, because your guild is already at the max members set by the guild leader.

Customizing Your Guild Part 5: Set your guilds "type"
Your guilds "type" is simply one word to describe your guild for advertising purposes. If other people are looking around at the guilds on the server and trying to find one to join, this guild "type" will give them a very brief idea whether or not your guild is for them. Your guild type can be any single word thay describes your guilds "style". For example:
- "PvPers"
- "PKers"
- "RPers"
- "Economists"
- "Builders"
- "Guardsmen"
- Etc! This "type" setting is entirely up to you. Just keep in mind, when a player types "/guild info <guild name>" for your guild, this is one of the things that they'll see.

Customizing Your Guild Part 6: Example Guild Setups
Here are 2 examples of the guild customization...
- A guild called "Avengers" has 5 ranks (called: Recruit, Member, Veteran, Officer, Leader) - is of the type "PvP" - and has a max member count of 15.
- A guild called "SpongeBobs" has 7 ranks (called: Plankton, Starfish, Fish, Lobster, Squid, SpongeOfficer, SpongeLeader) - is of the type "Roleplayers" - and has a max member count of 15.
All settings are unique to each guild.
