Keys And Crates
Keys and Crates is a great plugin for any server. You can easily give any player a key then all they have to do to open a crate it click on any chest with the key. You can configure what is in the crates however you would like.
Commands
/givekey <player> <amount> - Give a player a crate key.
Permissions
crates.givekey - Permission to run the /givekey command.
Configuration
Example layout: (The "»" are to represent indenting).
prizes:
»»test:
»»»»name: '&6Test'
»»»»id: 1
»»»»command: say <player> won something from a crate
»»»»chance: 1
message: &7You have won &6<prize>&7!
Now step by step "prizes:" - All prizes must be under this section.
"test:"(aka the name) - This is just a tag for the prize. Each one must be different.
"name:" - This is the name of the prize that will show up in game.
"id:" - This is the item id of the item that will show up in the crate.
"command:" - This is the command that will be run through the console when this prize is won.
Use ";;" to separate multiple commands.
"chance:" - This is the chance of getting this prize. The higher the chance is, the more common.
"message:" - This is the message that will be sent to the player once they have one a prize.

Placeholder API (optional)
This plugin can use placeholders from PlaceholderAPI in any commands or the prize retrieval message.

Posted Oct 31, 2023ah yes a plugin made with the ass... if you create ONLY 1 command to give the key it's normal that this then becomes a trash plugin. Give us also a way to create a CUSTOM crate clown.

I get the confusion. But the item that shows up is merely a visual. If you want the player to receive change the "command" to a "give" command instead of "say." If you would like to run multiple commands separate them with ";;"

I wonder most things are created in the config.
But a response about how to make the crate appear In game would help.

Hello!
At the moment, any chest in the world can be opened. The trick is that the player must click on it with the key that is given by "/givekey."

Posted May 5, 2020As to this plugin I do quite enjoy it, however a bug I found is if you right-click a chest without anything in your hand it causes an error to occur. In order to fix this check to see first if the player isn't holding null.

Posted Feb 22, 2017I am having a problem with GUI Menus where when I menu is open, I am able to take the item from the GUI and place in my inventory.. So for the plugin for an example, as the crate is scrolling through the possible items to win I am able to click the items and place in my inventory and have them as an item.. Im not sure how to fix this and its not just this plugin its all plugins I use with a GUI..Please help
