JustAFK

JustAFK brings a simple, multilingual, and powerful AFK (away from keyboard) plugin to Bukkit servers.

JustAFK

Installation

To install JustAFK, simply drop the jar file into your server's plugin directory and reload! A configuration file will be automatically created which you can edit to fine-tune your own installation.

Localization

As of JustAFK v1.2, you can completely customize the messages associated with JustAFK by editing the generated localization.yml file after loading the plugin. You can use it to simply change the way the messages look, or to translate to another language. This should work with most languages, but you may run into some issues with certain character types. If you have any problems with the plugin after doing a translation please let me know in the comments below.

If you'd like to contribute your translation for JustAFK, please let me know and I'll work with you to get it included as a download alongside the plugin. Thanks!

Features

Optional, automatic kicking of AFK players
Outwits methods used to circumvent automatic AFK
Configurable AFK time limit
Configurable kick message
Players are automatically hidden from others when going AFK
Automatic detection of players returning from AFK (e.g. when moving or chatting)
Set a status when going AFK
Fully customizable messages via the generated localization.yml file

Commands

Basic Commands	Description
/afk	Sets yourself to away, making your player invisible and broadcasting a message to the server.
/afk [reason]	Sets yourself to away as above, but also includes a reason.
/whosafk	Shows you a list of who is currently set to away on the server.
/justafk	Gives you a bit of information about JustAFK.
Administrative Commands
/setafk <player>	Sets the specified player to away.

Permissions

Node	Description
justafk.basic	The basic permission node which allows for full use of the plugin.
justafk.immune	Makes the player immune to auto-afk and auto-kicking.
justafk.admin	Gives the player access to the admin commands (seen above) included in the plugin.

Configuration

Setting Node	Default
tagmessages	true	All AFK messages will be tagged with "[JustAFK]".
hideawayplayers	true	If true, players going AFK will be hidden on the server.
broadcastawaymsg	true	Sets whether or not away messages will be broadcasted to the entire server.
autokick	true	Players will be kicked automatically if inactive.
movementcheckfreq	15	The frequency to check for player inactivity.
kicktime	300	The time that a player can be AFK before being kicked.
kickreason	Reason	The reason to give when kicking an AFK player.
kickwhileinvehicle	true	Kick players that aren't looking around but are moving in a vehicle.

All time is in seconds.

I try to use this with 1.7.10 but when someone goes afk their name gets removed from the leaderboard and does not reappear when they are no longer afk. PLEASE HELP

After installing this plugin, it crashed my essentials plugin, and somehow got rid of my skin, reverted me back to steve.

Great plugin, but it doesn't work on my 1.9 server:

Hello. I use this plugin on my server but got an issue

I have the hideawayplayers: true Sometime players stay vanished

Also i got an request. That we can use more then 1 color example: 'Gold'['Green'AFK'Gold'] 'White' <player> is now AFK

If you know how to edit the plugin, you could easily recode it to say "afk", I already looked into it. Although, changing the name/colors should be in the configuration.

Would be awesome if it had options like:

Disable Pickup when AFK (Not sure if "hidden from others" includes this)
Disable Mobs attacking you (Not sure if "hidden from others" includes this)
A cooldown on the /afk cmd (so people can't exploit those features ^)
No hunger consumption
In the tab menu people who are afk are prefixed with [AFK] for example (Dunno if this is possible)

Autokick doesn't seem to be working for me? :S Request: could you make it automatic so you don't have to type a command? I have been looking for an up-to-date automatic AFK plugin to stop people abusing the auto-ranker (Rankup on total ontime) feature on my server.

I had a bug reported to me from a player saying that if he were to use /afk then log out, and log back in he would be invisible to other players.

Is there a way to disable the invisibility when afk?

I haven't encountered this issue on my own. It could be due to an outdated version. I just updated the plugin to work with the latest Bukkit build, so once that gets approved you should give it a try.
