Junkyard

Junkyard is a world generator for those of us who are too lazy to craft. Ever seen the movies Idiocracy or Wall-E? I wrote this plugin to give server admins a taste of a world of random junk. Try it out, and let me know if you can handle the chaos.
One quality of Junkyard that I wasn't expecting is the "quilted" grasslands that appear after the map has been running for a few days. Mycelium and grass clash to mottle the hills with color.
Important things:
- This plugin requires Multiverse 2
- Junkyard looks best when the world type is set to flat. Type /mv create "your map name here" normal -g Junkyard -t flat to get the best results when creating the map.
- Thanks for downloading!

Posted Jan 15, 2013This is fantastic! Just what my server needed. Raxus Prime!
As soon as I get Multiverse working again, I will definitely be adding this as a world. :D

It's three SimplexOctaveGenerators added together, actually. Here's the code:

Posted Dec 18, 2012What type of noise are you using for the terrain? Diamond-square noise? I would love to know how you did it :D
Great job.

Bukkit has a YamlConfiguration class that is easy to use: http://jd.bukkit.org/apidocs/org/bukkit/configuration/file/YamlConfiguration.html

Uhm, I'm more of a Web Developer than a plugin developer, but I heard Oracle's good for programming Java? xD

I'll see what I can do, I would not be opposed. Do you know of any good resources for developing config file support?

Posted Dec 8, 2012I'm about to use this plugin as a "mine" for my prison server since I'm not allowing any kind of edits on the main map. I'd suggest you to work on a config in which I'd be able to set the... percentage of the said item by chunk:
For example:

It's true, there's no dependency, but I've noticed that a lot of people seem to not understand how to use world generators. I'm trying to emphasize a method of getting it to work easily. :)

Posted Dec 6, 2012Nice... also i think there's no dependeny on MultiVerse. Bukkit also has is own generator, right? :D Whatever, nice WorldGenerator though.
