Jobz for Tekkit
Description
Jobz provides a multi-threaded jobs style plugin designed for Tekkit 3.1.* with full block support! (Any Block ID and/or Block Data values work)
Features
- Every block can have separate cost or pay added for placing or breaking a block
- Hooks into mcMMO to use your mining, woodcutting, herbalism or excavation skill level to increase the payout or the cost of breaking/placing blocks
- Fully configurable from the price of breaking dirt at level 1 to how often the payment thread runs on your server! (For the impatient who cant wait 15 seconds to get paid :P)
- Exclude players from getting paid (designed for Tekkit fake players)
- Customizable message for your earnings for the last hour or so
- Added Ability to Cap the amount of money paid or charged per block (Caps to the block value in config)
Requires
Setup
- Copy the jar (Jobz.jar) to your plugins folder
- Run your server once (Start then stop it once its fully started)
- Edit the config files in plugins/Jobz/ to suit your Economy server
- Save configs and restart server
- Make Money!
Future
- Adding the ability to find out if a block has been placed by a player to prevent infinite money (Currently the cost of placing a block prevents this with the default configs)
- Adding the ability to get money from slaying monsters while depending on what you used to slay them :P
- Building config for making money when building your epic structures out of anything but DIRT or COBBLESTONE!

Posted Oct 5, 2012Just a question, but for tekkit 3.1.2 what version of mcMMO should I run with Jobz? Been running mcjobs, but of course, ran into the problem of custom tekkit blocks.

I can look into this for you but its not an easy or quick thing for me to do.
I believe you can use mcmmo without the abilitys or double drops side of thing and just have the leveling for now which should work with my plugin and for you for the time being.

I Do not like Mcmmo on a tekkit server because your already very powerful with the armour and EE.

I dislike the idea of separate multipliers per level range as you can have blocks cost less by levelling up (when switching ranges).
What do you think if I put a Cap on per block for the value or skill level (same result) so what ever the blocks value is is the max value you can get from breaking/placing it but this is still modified by the level modifier which acts as the level cap also....

you could add level based multiplyers?
like level 1 to 150 is MP:1 lebel 150 to 350 is MP:0,75 level 350 to 500 is MP:0,50 ...
just thinking out load here

You should be able to change the multiplier for that but remember that the less u get when you start.
Maybe I need a more complex formula or not use mcMMO levels (guess I gota go more complex as I love mcMMO)

One more thing you can maybe add.
The higher your level gets the lower the earning ratio will get
level 50 - earn 100% level 300 earn 90% level 600 eanr 80% ...
So like when players get 700 and up dont earn like 50K in 5 minutes. they will still earn more but the ratio is lower

Side note, Anyone know why mcMMO would stop logging experience? No one on my server is gaining exp anymore.

Ok Jobz isnt throwing the exception mcMMO is BUT this is coz I am asking mcMMO for skill level for a player that doesnt exist.
I will fix this in Jobz now and try and push a patch to mcMMO for future tekkit stuffs :D

Posted Sep 26, 2012I dony hav the exact coppie with me now im not home But is is a nullpoint eception from jobz plugin when tryung to gran user levels. Error only spams when a quarry or other tekkit item is breaking blocks
So i gues its acting up with the fake players
