JetPack
JetPack lets you fly with gold armour on. Either in your inventory or not, you can fly with it. Naturally, this conflicts with NoCheat(+). You'll need to give your players (nocheat(plus).checks.moving.flying) to move using the jetpack.
JetPack is a great donator perk for servers. Why? It supports permissions, it lets you fly, if you have the permission and they need gold armour to fly.
Permissions:
- jetpack.use : allows use of /jetpack
Commands:
- /jetpack (/yoshipack) : Activates "fly-mode". (Lets you fly as if you were in creative mode.)
Installation:
- Drop JetPack.jar into your plugins folder. If you have NoCheat or NoCheatPlus installed, go to step 2. If not, go to step 3.
- Give all players who have the permission jetpack.use the permission nocheat.checks.moving.flying or nocheatplus.checks.moving.flying depending on which NoCheat you have.
- Now that you're set, start your server (if it was already, use /reload or restart it) and it should be good to go.
- Now move down to the Usage section below.
Usage:
- Put gold armour on or in your inventory.
- Type /jetpack (you need the jetpack.use permission)
- Double jump to fly.
- Type /jetpack to turn off your jetpack.

Unfortunately, to do these there would need to a spout dependancy and spoutcraft. Bukkit has no way of tracking this and can only supply the player with flying like in creative mode. I can add an option for chestplate damage if you want. :)

Posted Apr 13, 2012Hm dont know why but it dosent work for me - i have gold armor and permissions set but it always say : SAFETY: You need to wear a right equipment before flying! Don't know what is wrong i tryed with full set and armor only not working :(

Posted Apr 12, 2012Would it be possible to make a version of this that acts as a jetpack? Rather than just a fly pack. Aka the gold chest plate will take damage based on the time you spend flying. Double jump to activate the jetpack while jump just makes you jump, hold the space to continue going up, while in the air if you hit jump then you will start your jetpack so if you are in midair, activating your jetpack will slow your fall down or you can hit space many times to keep at a hover sort of range from the ground. I don't want gold armor to be an infinite fly, I just want jetpacks to make people build with gold more often. I kind of want the other gold armor to do other stuff too. I won't go into details now though, is highly unlikely my jetpack plans will get done anyway. :P
