A helpful tutorial!
We have finally made a YouTube video using iSail, and how to use it. The link is below!

We have created this plugin, since there is currently no well-functioning plugins for ships that is well updated at the moment. This plugin will realize sailing and sea battles.
To do
- Improve sails manipulations
- Improve sinking (50% done)
- Make autorefreshing of ships
Features
- Realistic movement of ships
- Realistic turning
- Ships take damage from accidents
- Speed, acceleration, and turning depends on its size and sails
- Realistic takelage of ship
- Pumps (fast drain of water)
- Fast quenching of fire
- Climbing
- Small protection in shipyards
- Realistic fire: blocks burns for a longer time, and rain doesn't quench fire. It's made for removing broken masts from the game and for the smooth burning of everything. Otherwise ships may burn quickly
- Ship may kill players
- Cannons integration!
Installing
Soon will be downloaded archive with plugin and config file. Just unpack it into folder "plugins".

OR
Be prepared, because the creation of a ship needs a lot of time. Ready? Click! (wait until pages and movie will finish)
Warning
If you see messages like "no ship detected", know: You have to stay on ship in moment of moving to be part of the crew of the ship! Otherwise the ship won't add you to the crew!
If you fell out off your ship, know: you were not on the ship or you tripped and fell off. You have to sneak to hold on unstable place, like a mast or the edge of the ship.
Redstone don't moves!
All inventory blocks don't moves (you can only use it while ship is staying) ! But you can to use vaults or minecart chests.
If your configuration file doesn't works, just copy default configuration

Posted Jun 3, 2014Would it be possible to add in lateen sails? Having to use fore-and-aft sails makes the rigging for Mediterranean ships like xebecs very difficult

Posted May 23, 2014Getting an error every time I try to register a ship. Name is simply "test". Using v. 957 (since it's for 1.7.2...) and craftbukkit 1.7.2. http://pastebin.com/tvW7mWuW

ISail don't have ETA feature, it have phasing stuff. In new version of iSail (0.98+) it will be calculated in new way. I'll update iSail, but I need a lot of time (anyway, coding is hard work) ;)

Sorry to bother you again! I do know that you get questions like this a lot, and I can sympathize with how frustrating they are, but do you happen to have an ETA for a build that works with 1.7.8/9? Sorry again, just very eager is all! :)

Thanks a lot! I'll upload build version of iSail. It is more fixed and works better, then older versions, but it is not lastest version, because I am working on it and I changes a lot of things and have some problems to do. Use that version (sorry, don't have time to update configuration help) while I am updating newest ;)

I rarely login to post comments or anything like that, but I felt this was a time to do so:
You are making an amazing plugin. I only noticed it yesterday when I was looking for an alternative to Movecraft and Ships. Although this does not work on the latest version and although I cannot use it at present it has amazing potential.
I will definitely be using this plugin should it ever be updated to the latest version. You are doing a terrific job and should be proud of that.

Updates will be soon (big updates). I can to try to update it to newer versions, but I don't recommend to use unstable versions. I think, it is not necessary, to have lastest minecraft version, because stability is more important then following minecraft updates. So, I'll make iSail for 1.6.4, 1.7.2 and last version if I can. ;)

I cant be using a version from so many patch ago for our mutiplayer server. Is there an estimation on when the next update on this will be?
(Currently, the only thing not working with iSails, is the creation of the ships.) The signs for sails, anchors, and all the other parts work fine. Just not the "ship <name>" sign.)

Ships were working fine for me until the minecraft update.
