iRestore
iRestore
Description
The plugin currently saves a players inventory and their XP when they die because of another player. This allows servers to have the option of safe PvP, and it also uses permissions so that it can be enabled/disabled per world. Recently, support for MyPet and economy has become official! Look for it in 1.3 and up! :)
Why choose iRestore over /gamerule keepInventory?
I originally developed this plugin with the idea that it would prevent players items being dropped only when they were killed during combat with another live player. However, over the course of the development cycle, people have requested that different events be added, such as cactus, fire, lava, falling damage, etc. Vanilla Minecraft's default keepInventory gamerule only allows you to specify whether or not you want a player to keep ALL of their inventory from ANY kind of death. This plugin gives power to the server owner, allowing them to decide what certain events will trigger iRestore. It also hooks into plugins such as MyPet and Vault.

It's possible that you have your permissions set up incorrectly. I have a test tomorrow, so after that I'll look into trying to duplicate the problem.
I have tried numerous settings and I can't seem to duplicate your issue. I'd need a copy of your config.yml and your permissions.

i think it caused by conflict with other pluging or something like that because it work fine for me no drop item on the ground and no dupe with 1.4.4

Posted May 20, 2013Running version 1.4.4 leaves the player's inventory on the ground and dupes them in their inventory every time they die.

The plugin works flawlessly on 1.5. I'm currently in midterms and cannot work on this plugin, but once I am done with midterms, I will update it for 1.5.1, with a bugfix for fire aspect entities. I plan to add the ability to drop a percentage of a players inventory, but right now I can't focus on new features with school.
Sorry for the delay! I've been extremely busy.

This problem has been fixed in 1.4.3, which is currently being approved by bukkit. In the meantime, anyone else who has the same problem, give your players the:
- pvprestore.whitelist.drop
or
-pvprestore.blacklist.drop
permission.

Please help quickly!

Hi papi, I don't quite understand. My plugin doesn't say that, so I think it's a problem with the Kivi mod. If you think otherwise, could you provide a screenshot of what happens and I can try to troubleshoot?
Of course, if you use another death message mod, you can always turn off death messages in my config so that they won't conflict :)

I was thinking the exact same thing as eldroos while perusing the project. Even if it was just a chance to lose 10% of item stacks in inventory or something thatd be awesome. I want it to be punishing to lose but not everything.

Posted Feb 12, 2013Cool idea.
Is there a way to make each item you have have a percentage chance to be dropped when you are killed? Maybe connected to worth somehow.

Thanks! Well, the main difference between keepInventory and my plugin is that my plugin focuses on PvP related deaths, where the keepInventory gamerule will restore someone's inventory no matter how they died. Also, my plugin has the ability to hook into MyPet and also allows players to steal money from other players when they kill them. Finally, there is simply many more configuration options in my plugin than there are with the gamerule.
I hope this answers your question!

Posted Feb 6, 2013I don't see the difference of this than just setting the gametype to keepInventory allow. I guess the only difference is you can change settings on different worlds. This could be awesome!
