About
This is a small plugin that was designed for the server I help out on (canadiacraft.akliz.net). We usually use mcMMO's admin chat but we were going to try switching back to Heroes and didn't want to lose the admin chat feature of mcMMO.
Features
- Toggle admin chatting.
- Send a message using /a [message]
- Choose from almost 200 minecraft sounds to play when you receive an AdminChat message.
- Make a prefix inserted at the beginning of all of the messages you send.
- Make your own format for the messages you receive if you don't like the default one.
- The plugin text is highly flexible, with almost everything being changeable!
- You can let regular players send admins a message using /a [message], but they won't see what the admins type back. This is allowed by default.
- We use Essentials /helpop for the most part on CanadiaCraft, but sometimes there are things other staff shouldn't be seeing.

Posted Sep 2, 2014This plugin is planned to get updated to use UUIDs (since it stores your customizations with player names right now). It should still function for the most part even without getting updated for UUIDs, you'd just need to redo your customizations if you ever change your player name after 1.8 is out. I need to get some higher-priority stuff out of the way first though before I update this :x

If you ever forget the permission nodes, you can use the "/aChat perms" command to view them in-game (or via console). They're almost always in a plugin's jar file as well (in the plugin.yml).

If you don't want regular players being able to send a message to admins, you can either:
Edit the plugin.yml and change the default setting for the permission node adminchat.send to 'op' or 'false' instead of 'true'. Once you do, you must save the plugin.yml file and reload the plugin using a server restart or /reload.
or
Use a permission plugin and set the permission adminchat.send to false (or negate it) for your regular players.
