Infernal Mobs

Features:
Mobs will randomly become "infernal", then they will become mini bosses. They get a random amount of random powers, a name tag proclaiming them "infernal", and when they die they will drop random enchanted loot. I saw this mod for Forge made by Atomic Stryker, and thought I would make a version for Bukkit. Most aspects of this mod are configurable.
NOTE: For 1.12.2 and older use version: 5.4, build 5.6 and up are 1.13+

Divining Rod:
The divining rod can be used when you are near an infernal mob.
It will take a blaze powder, then point you in the direction of the nearest mob. It will show you a line of particles pointed at the mob.
This rod only works if you are near one of the mobs.

Powers:
- Poisonous: Gives player the poison effect.
- Armoured: Give mobs full diamond armour or a resistance effect.
- Blinding: Gives player the blindness effect.
- Withering: Gives player the withering effect.
- Tosser: Tosses the player around.
- Thief: Steals the item the player is holding.
- Quicksand: Gives player the slowness effect.
- Bullwark: Takes less damage.
- Rust: Damages the tool the player is holding.
- Sapper: Gives player the hunger effect.
- 1up: Has 2 lives.
- Cloaked: Is invisible.
- Ender: Can teleport.
- Ghastly: Shoots fireballs.
- Lifesteal: Gets health from damaging player.
- Sprint: Can go fast.
- Storm: Strikes the player with lightning.
- Webber: Makes a web at the players feet.
- Vengeance: Gives damage from being hit.
- Weakness: Gives player the weakness effect.
- Berserk: Damages the player more, but takes damage from attacking.
- Explode: Explodes on death.
- Potions: Throws harmful potions at the player.
- Mama: Has a slim chance to spawn three babies of its type.
- Molten: Is immune to fire/lava, starts a fire on death and lights the player on fie.
- Archer: Randomly shoots a volley of arrows at player.
- Necromancer: Shoots wither skulls.
- Firework: Fireworks explode from mob when hit.
- Gravity: Levitates the player for a while.
- Flying: Mob can fly.
- Mounted: Riding on another mob.
- Morph: Can infrequently morph into another infernal mob.
- Ghost: On death a ghost is spawned.
- Confusing: Gives player the confusion effect.

Incompatibilities:
There have been instances of incompatibilities with other plugins, any plugin that changes mob names or messes with mob spawning may cause some problems. While they may not be game-braking you may see some weird things and some features might not work.
Known incompatible plugins:
- MobArena v0.96.6
- Any plugin (like MCMMO) that uses score-boards may cause lag when combined with IM (if you have IM score-boards enabled).

Posted Feb 12, 2014I see, interesting. So area effects such as blindness will effect the player, but the snow golem won't start shooting fireballs at you.

No, no passive mob will become hostile, they will just be really great guards. But if they have certain powers they will target the player with them, even though they are passive.

Posted Feb 12, 2014Well v1.5 of the plugin seems to work fine with 1.5.2 (and I assume any version in between that and 1.6.4) for anyone who might be wondering, would be nice if it had as many possible features as the later versions but I guess that'd be asking for too much. Good job either way, much better than other similar plugins because of the variety of effects at least.

To make certain items have more of a drop chance, just copy and paste them a couple times.
"enableFarmingDrops" stops mobs from dropping loot if they aren't killed by a player, and it stops them from spawning within 10 blocks of a spawner.
"chance" is the max random number, it will pick a number between 1 and "chance" and if the number is 1, then an Infernal Mob spawns.

Posted Feb 12, 2014Something that would be very useful would be a way to assign a way to weight the drop table. Ideally, I'd like to have a low value and a high value drop table, with a means of controlling the likelihood of either table being selected. For example, if I could say that killing a mob has a 75% chance of selecting the low value table (which would be populated by commodity items and amounts, e.g. 2-5 gold nuggets) versus the high value table (your existing list of custom magical items).
(It's possible there is something like this already, but I'm not sure... what exactly does "enableFarmingDrops" do? I can't find any documentation on it.)
Also, a question: the 'chance:' attribute in the default config is commented as "Chance is the chance that a mob will be infernal, the lower the number, the higher the chance." Can you clarify? Is this a simple divisor of 1 (i.e. probability a mob is infernal is 1/$chance)?

Posted Feb 11, 2014@lordarrani I know about this bug, other plugins clashing causes it, basically that is where the mob spawned and he is ether wandering away from his particles or a plugin is causing him to de-spawn. Can I have a list of your plugins, and see your infernal mobs config?
@piritacraft You have not mounts, riders, or drops enabled. You have to enable at least one of each (Or for the mount/riders you can disable that power).
@wickdsickk Are you using 2.3? Also can I see your config?

Posted Feb 11, 2014I'm having a strange bug where instead of Infernal Mobs spawning, I'm just seeing these weird disembodied particles all over the place:

I've tried punching them to see if it's the cloaked ability, but it's like I'm punching air. These are popping up all over the place, and I've seen no regular infernal mobs for a while now.
Any idea what's wrong? (and how I can fix it :P)

Posted Feb 11, 2014Cheers man great plugin, one thing tho, dispite having enableFarmingDrops: false . Infernal skeletons keeps popping out in my skeleton spawner, this is ofc a problem cus it offers my players the option to just farm the loot i spent ages to make :p

Yes, it will. You have to add parameters to change that.
