iDisguise
This plugin enables you to disguise as a mob or as another player.

Download latest version (for CraftBukkit/Spigot 1.8–26.1 and Paper/Purpur 1.18–26.1)
Basic Usage (6.0.1+)
Disguise yourself:
- Disguise as a mob: /disguise <entity-type>
Example: /disguise zombie
Use [TAB] to get a list of all entity types.
After disguising, you will be able to see your own disguise for five seconds. - Disguise as a player: /disguise player <name>
Example: /disguise player Notch
You can always see your own player disguise. - Check your disguise: /disguise
You will be able to see your own disguise for another five seconds. - Undisguise: /undisguise
- Alter your disguise: /disguise <entity-type> <statement> ...
Example: /disguise horse setColor(WHITE) setStyle(BLACK_DOTS) setBaby()
Use [TAB] after entering the entity type to get a list of all possible statements. - In-game help: /disguise ? [page]
- By default, only server operators can use the commands. If you enable commands.use-permission-nodes in the config.yml, disguising requires the permission node iDisguise.disguise.<entity-type> (e.g., iDisguise.disguise.SNOW_GOLEM for the snow golem) or the wildcard iDisguise.disguise.*
Disguise others:
- Disguise another player: /odisguise <player> <entity-type>
- Undisguise another player: /undisguise <player>
- Player disguise and statements work as well.
- In-game help: /odisguise ? [page]
- By default, only server operators can use these commands. If you enable commands.use-permission-nodes in the config.yml, these commands require the permission node iDisguise.others AND the respective disguise-specific permission node (see above).
Permissions (6.0.1+)
By default, all commands are available to server operators only. If you enable commands.use-permission-nodes in the config.yml, the following permission nodes apply instead:
- iDisguise.* – Gives you permission for everything.
- iDisguise.admin – Trigger an update-check when you login. Display administrative information in the in-game help.
- iDisguise.disguise.* – Permission for all disguise types.
- iDisguise.disguise.<entity-type> – Permission for one single disguise type (e.g., iDisguise.disguise.SNOW_GOLEM).
- iDisguise.others – Disguise/undisguise other players.
Special Features
By default, iDisguise checks for updates when you start your server. This can be disabled by changing updates.check to false in the config.yml.
This plugin also includes an auto-update function, which is disabled by default and can be enabled by changing updates.download to true in the config.yml. (Updates are downloaded from bukkit.org)
This plugin uses bStats to collect some statistics: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/iDisguise/398
To disable bStats (globally), change enabled to false in the /plugins/bStats/config.yml.

Posted Nov 18, 2012This Plugin is really great! I don't think he copied it, i think he had MobDisguise and it doesn't work at 1.4.2. So he wrote his own Plugin and I think its really great!
P.S: Really Nice Logo

Posted Nov 18, 2012There is no "better" disguise plugins. It's all about which one caters to your server's needs.
I sometimes refer servers to iDisguise because it is much less resource intensive than DisguiseCraft. It uses the good old two-packet disguise method that MobDisguise did and therefore provides the same performance. The part I found that makes this plugin much better than MobDisguise is that it generated entity metadata (DataWatchers) through the actually Entity instance itself. This means that iDisguise is capable of working over many different MineCraft versions.
Before any of you start condescending on people for using any plugin, get to know your facts. Maybe learn Java. Every developer would be appreciative.

Posted Nov 17, 2012@Robingrether Thanks for the update.
To all those bitching about which disguise plugin is better... be grateful that developers are active and sharing there code with the community.
Disguisecraft and IDisguise use different methods of achieving the disguise illusion, and one might be less resource intensive on your server. Its not fair to compare features as this plugin is so new and in its first versions.
Run a bukkit report to see which plugin suits your server /timings merged

Posted Nov 17, 2012To all people saying Disguisecraft is better:
This plugin suits small servers more, due to it being small and lightweight. If you've got a massive server with 16GB of RAM, great. Just remember all the little ones.

Hey, if it has no issue with Orebfuscator and NoCheat+ like disguisecraft does (unless that was fixed recently) then I would rather use this that won't make the server unplayable because of chunking issues.

No, they aren't. They are players like before but the others don't see them as player.

I think the only real reasons someone would even consider using this is as follows: A) They are a nub to using Bukkit server mods and therefore have not heard of DisguiseCraft (understandable) B) They want similar functionality with less overhead (smaller sizes) C) They wish to support a developer, are close friends, or got word of it via word-of-mouth. D) Tried it and preferred it in-game compared to DisguiseCraft E) They are COMPLETE Noobs to Minecraft in general and/or are experimenting.

Maybe, but I don't know! It should work with unmodified clients, maybe it also works if you have mods, I don't know. I don't have mods and it works good. And the problem when disguising as player is fixed but the newer version(1.1) of my plugin needs approval. I think it'll be here tomorrow.

I have client mods and it has not crashed for me, i think its happened since we updated to 1.4.4 and I added back the void damage. Do you think people disguised at a -y cord could cause it? Thanks

Posted Nov 15, 2012The problem when disguising as players will be fixed soon. At a dev-version it works but you can't undisguise. So I think it will take some more time to fix. I'm sorry.

I too have noticed the client crash when disguising as players, we don't use it so that's not been a problem.
Only random issue we get is mobs cause client crashes for only some players, it appears to only happen to 10-20% of games and happens in a area where disguised players can fall into the void. Not sure of the trigger, but it gives you end of stream and when trying to relog you will continue to get end of stream.
I want to try out some things next time it happens, like /ebutcher to force a new disguise entity or kick all to see if the one guy disguise causing the crash will be solved if they relog.
Works well for our PVP game and i especially like the iron golem arm swing animation all mobs use :D Using a .bin file to store players disguise has its advantages of retaining the disguise after server restart. unfortunately this is a problem for the reset in our mini game. I have to manually delete this file to reset the game, any suggestions to solve this?
