Introduction
HyperConomy is the all in one economy and shop plugin. It can be a simple chest or sign shop plugin, a Vault compatible economy plugin, a region based shop plugin with many configurable options, or even a complex system of economically competing towns and kingdoms. Any vanilla Minecraft item can be traded in HyperConomy and virtually any custom item can be added as well. Prices can be configured to change dynamically or they can be set as desired. To quickly edit prices and settings you can double click on HyperConomy.jar to access the GUI editor. HyperConomy has many features including things such as item price linking and item displays. Read below or check out the wiki for more information.

Versions and Development Builds
- Recommended builds are marked with [RB] and are generally thought to be stable and bug free.
- Builds marked as [Beta] are as bug free as possible, but often have large code changes which may result in the appearance of new bugs.
- Builds marked as [Dev] are development builds that I've decided to upload to BukkitDev. I may upload dev builds on occasion to provide easy access because Bukkit staff does not allow linking to development builds.
- Development builds may contain bugs as I work on releasing a new [Beta] build. They may also contain fixes for bugs found in [Beta] builds. Use these builds if you're looking for a bug fix, or would like to try out a new feature I've just added. Also, feel free to search for bugs in the development builds. Any help with testing is greatly appreciated!
- Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
- The latest development builds can be found here.

New Features, Bugs, Problems, etc.
- If you have a question, or find a bug, first check the FAQ. I will try to include as many helpful questions and answers as possible.

- If you do find a bug, please include which version of HyperConomy you're using, the full error message or stack trace (if there is one), the version and type of Minecraft server you're running, and an explanation of how to reproduce the bug or what causes the bug.

My error folder is filed with thousands of other error folders. Plugin seems to work fine though.
Here is an example: 2012-10-04-07-31-19
UseSQL='false', DataBuilt='false', SQLLoaded='false'
SQLFunctions getCeiling() passed values name='null', economy='default'

This might be an issue in your config.yml file. Try resetting your "notify-for" option to the default which is "diamond, diamondblock," or just delete it by toggling it off with /notify all
If that's not the issue, I'm not sure what it is. Let me know.

I will test the web page with Tekkit tomorrow after work. I've been away all weekend. The web page is currently generated dynamically using Java code. I will have a standalone HTML/PHP version at some point hopefully.

Posted Oct 19, 2012After some looking around i've got everything to work, except for the webpage, which I think is pretty good :) I would prefer to be able to use the webpage as well, but I'm not sure how I can help you figure out what the problem is... Is it supposed to be some HTML document in the config folder? or is it stored in the .JAR ? (if it's stored at all).

Admin placed chestshops is a good idea. I can add that to the todo list. It might be a while until I can add it though... I'm being slowed down by multi-language support.
To change the sell price you can just place a sales tax on all items. If you want item specific tax, that doesn't exist yet but it's an interesting idea. I may add that as well.

What is the issue with adding items to the economy?
The latest build should work fine on 1.2.5.
Ah, you're using Tekkit...I'll see if the webpage works for me on my Tekkit test server. Other than that I'm not sure, perhaps I'll make you a test version if I can't figure it out.

Posted Oct 16, 2012Greetings!
I was just wondering if there is or will be any functionality for admins, to place signs/chests for other users. I was reading over the documentation and didnt see anything of the type so i thought I'd ask
also is there a way to change the difference between buying and selling prices? so that say a person buys a stone for 100 and they can only sell it back for 50
Regards, igmikey

Late reply here, I tested what you said about changing the port to the dynmap port (and i also changed the dynmap port to something else and it still worked), also the prices have changed and everything like it should, only thing is that website not showing up :)
Do you know if your latest build is compatible with Minecraft 1.2.5 ? In which case I would be happy to check if the website worked after the update.
EDIT:
I also have issues adding extra items to the economy, even though i believe i have added them correctly to the list: http://pastebin.com/8wT9mTvp
If you need any help with testing or anything else I can do to help out, let me know! :)

I will have to look at the code more closely when I get a chance. My guess is that it will work but you would currently have to add each custom enchantment to your enchants.yml or hyperobjects table manually.

Ah, ok, thanks. Essentials economy might be taking over somehow.. even though I don't have EssentialsEco installed lol. My main concern is how multiple currencies will work with another currency system, such as BOSEconomy. How will players check their balance in other currencies? Do you know of a compatible economy system that supports multiple currencies?Nevermind, I am stupid. But I do have another question. Would it be somehow possible to sell an item with an enchantment higher than in the minecraft database (like using a plugin that lets you enchant higher than the limit)? I would really like to see this feature :3

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do. Are you using some sort of external scripting plugin that chains commands together? If you are, simply try the commands manually to check if HyperConomy is the issue. I'm unable to reproduce any bugs with selling items. Perhaps you could give me more information on how to reproduce this?
The only thing that comes to mind is that HyperConomy doesn't currently sell the armor slots. This is mostly a precautionary measure to prevent accidental sales with /sellall. Is the helmet going into the armor slot?

I do chuck bukkit forums, but people don't seem to post there very often so I don't check it very often. :)
If you don't have an economy plugin installed HyperConomy should complain every time you buy or sell something. Does it? If not, perhaps you have essentials economy or some other plugin? In other words, yes, HyperConomy does require an external economy plugin.
I will be including an economy plugin within HyperConomy in the future, however, so that it can run without any external plugins.

Interesting. Could you try changing the HyperConomy port to the same one that Dynmap uses? If that doesn't help I can send you a test version to see what's happening.
Perhaps your prices are in initial mode? The price won't change until the stock of an item reaches a certain point. You can prestock your shop to avoid this with /setstockmedianall.

Posted Oct 10, 2012Hi, I posted this on the bukkit thread earlier, not realizing you didn't check that anymore XD so here:
Hello, I am a bit confused on how hyperconomy works. I have a shop set up, I can sell and buy items (without another external economy plugin). Do I still need to download another economy plugin such as BOSEconomy for this to work correctly?

Thanks for quick reply :)
Yes i'm renting a VPS, I tried to change the port but no change in result. Websites like dynmap does work on my server.
I don't get any error messages and I don't even have an error folder.
I just noticed that my prices doesn't seem to change... I can't remember setting them to static...?

Are you renting a VPS, shared host, or a dedicated server? It's possible that your host has the 8765 port blocked. You could try switching the port to a more common one or ask them to open it for you.
If that's not the issue, perhaps you get an error message? Do you have anything in the errors folder in the HyperConomy folder?

Posted Oct 7, 2012Hey. I'm running on a 1.2.5 tekkit server, but I'm having problems displaying the webpage that comes with this (amazing) plugin. Here's the relevant part of the config.
Anyone see a good reason why it shouldn't work? I simply can't connect to the webpage.
Thanks for any response :)

Thanks. When you enter a shop /browseshop, /topitems, and /topenchants will only show items available in that shop. When not in a shop they will show what's in the entire economy. /topitems and /topenchants show items and enchantments with the most stock. Whereas /browseshop will search for items/enchantments. For example /browseshop diamond will find all items that have diamond in the name. /browseshop diam would likely have the same effect.

Posted Oct 7, 2012Amazing plugin! I might be crazy, but how do I see what the local shop sells? Is there a shop list command of some sort to see what you can buy?
