Introduction
HyperConomy is the all in one economy and shop plugin. It can be a simple chest or sign shop plugin, a Vault compatible economy plugin, a region based shop plugin with many configurable options, or even a complex system of economically competing towns and kingdoms. Any vanilla Minecraft item can be traded in HyperConomy and virtually any custom item can be added as well. Prices can be configured to change dynamically or they can be set as desired. To quickly edit prices and settings you can double click on HyperConomy.jar to access the GUI editor. HyperConomy has many features including things such as item price linking and item displays. Read below or check out the wiki for more information.

Versions and Development Builds
- Recommended builds are marked with [RB] and are generally thought to be stable and bug free.
- Builds marked as [Beta] are as bug free as possible, but often have large code changes which may result in the appearance of new bugs.
- Builds marked as [Dev] are development builds that I've decided to upload to BukkitDev. I may upload dev builds on occasion to provide easy access because Bukkit staff does not allow linking to development builds.
- Development builds may contain bugs as I work on releasing a new [Beta] build. They may also contain fixes for bugs found in [Beta] builds. Use these builds if you're looking for a bug fix, or would like to try out a new feature I've just added. Also, feel free to search for bugs in the development builds. Any help with testing is greatly appreciated!
- Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
- The latest development builds can be found here.

Posted Feb 12, 2013OK, I've got another stupid question for you. I finished creating my new shop, but I don't want the Buy & Sell prices to be the same. I have a 0% Tax on Purchasing, which is what I want. So my question is, when I put the tax on selling, how do I make it so the Sell Message tells you the exact amount you sold the item for? Or is that not possible? Because I do not want players to be able to Purchase and Sell and item at the same rate, as this would most likely cause Economy issues, and they would be able to get extremely high amounts of money.
Thank You very much for all your help by the way, I love the plugin too, and I love using it for RP. Thanks!

This may be a server specific problem. Are you on the latest version? MySQL mode or SQLite mode? Also, could you send me a copy of your config.yml?
What are you using to measure the ram and what operating system is your server running on?
HyperConomy doesn't use much memory at all on my server. I only have 1.5 gb of ram for my server, website, and operating system. I'm sure HyperConomy only uses a very small fraction of that. I'm typically only allocating about 900/1500 MB and using only 200-400 MB for the server and plugins. I'm running about 15-20 plugins. Not many people are on the server these days, but it still gives a general estimate.
It may also have to do with garbage collection parameters. Does the RAM usage go up quickly after starting your server or does it slowly increase over time?

Is there anyway you could fix the memory leak on HyperConomy? HC uses an average 3.8GB of memory on my server. When running without it my server uses 300-400 MB of ram with no one online. With it it uses 4.2GB...
My server has a ton of plugins, to be running over 60 plugins at around 400 megs is awesome sauce, and one plugin causing it to use gigs is plain out awful.

How are you thinking the two plugins could interact? Perhaps send notifications to a certain channel, or something like that?

Posted Feb 12, 2013Hi, Since upgrading to this latest version, every time we try to browse an item while outside of the shop area, we get :
Invalid Parameters,. Use /browseshop [Searrch string ] ( page ) ('-a' ).
This has always worked perfectly before on all previous version updates.
Any Ideas ?

It should work fine to add it. It is in the default enchants.yml now as well. You could extract it by regenerating your enchants.yml file on a test server.

Both of those are good questions. It seems there is some sort of encoding issue that messes up unusual characters. I'll work on a fix and will update when I get it.
And there is no in game way to rename an economy yet, but will work on adding a command for it. Currently you could do it with a SQL query. This would be easier if you're using MySQL mode, but could also be done with SQLite. You could just run this statement (remove " " and [ ]):
"UPDATE hyperconomy_objects SET economy = '[new name goes here]' WHERE economy = '[old name goes here]'"
For MySQL this could be done in phpMyAdmin and in SQLite it could be done with the SQLite Database Browser.
Also, I wouldn't rename the default economy, as it's used for additional things. I'm planning on adding the ability to change it's name as well in the future, though.

Posted Feb 11, 2013Great new version!
2 Questions:
1. How do you rename an economy?
2. Will the € symbol be supported in the future? Essentials-Eco displays it correctly, Hyperconomy has some trouble with the character...

Thank you! Signs are fixed. It's issuing an error now if you try to buy an enchantment if you don't have the right item in your hand.\
I'll let you know if I figure out more.

You hopefully don't have to recreate the signs. First try this dev build: https://buildhive.cloudbees.com/job/RegalOwl/job/HyperConomy/119/regalowl$hyperconomy/artifact/regalowl/hyperconomy/0.960-SNAPSHOT/hyperconomy-0.960-SNAPSHOT.jar
I'm releasing an update soon.

If you want to stock all items you can use '/setstockmedianall confirm'. This will also cause prices to start changing immediately as you'd like.
The /setstock command should work. You could also try the latest dev build here: https://buildhive.cloudbees.com/job/RegalOwl/job/HyperConomy/119/regalowl$hyperconomy/artifact/regalowl/hyperconomy/0.960-SNAPSHOT/hyperconomy-0.960-SNAPSHOT.jar
The issue might be with the capital letters. I can investigate more later. I'm about to release a major update.
