The Hunger Bar Games Plugin
HungerBarGames is a Hunger Games plugin currently under development by tomjw64 and HaydenCappadona. Our goal for this plugin is to be the most or one of the most full and complete Hunger Games plugins available publicly.
Please remember that this plugin is still in Alpha so it will in all probability have a few bugs here and there!
If you do find a bug please create a ticket and we will fix it as soon as possible.
Our plan for this plugin is to make integration with any kind of server a possibility, and to make it easy. Whether your server is creative or survival this plugin will work like it's suppose to.
We also are trying to make arena management as simple as possible. Who wants to refill all the chests in the arena manually? Nobody, that's who. Our plugin will allow you to assign chests to classes that you can define yourself in the configuration to have them filled automatically each round. Our plugin will also handle arena reloading, giving you the option to either rollback changes on the arena or completely restart the entire world.
This plugin will be very easy to install as well. We will include pre-made chest classes and options, so that you can just drag and drop the files into your plugin folder and get started. We also will not have any dependencies!
Lastly, we plan to make everything in this plugin as configurable as possible. From chat restriction to assigning the chance an item has to spawn in a chest, you decide how your games are run!

The Different Ways to Use this plugin:
Arena's and World Arena's: This is the standard mode that allows you to create as many Arena's and World Arena's as you want.
OR
Dedicated Server Mode (Single Map) (Currently Not Implemented!): This Mode is used if you want to use a single map such as Official "Survival Game's" Map's. The advantages if using this mode are features such as automatic spawning spawn points on join and many, many more!

Known Bugs:
- Arena boundaries are set in all worlds, not just the arena worlds. Fixed for next release.

Posted Jun 5, 2012In order to get a lot of important stuff fixed, I've pushed the next release to tonight. There are less added features, but the fixes in this version are very helpful. In this update:

Note: You will have to clear your spawn points for your arenas for this update. :( Sorry. If it still doesn't work after you clear spawn points, just clear your arenas altogether.
Because of the short notice of the update, I'm going to push back winner rewards and the beginnings of the spectator system until next update. Sorry, but things had to get fixed.

Posted Jun 5, 2012So here is a problem I am facing that I would like some help with.
Everything seems to be running fine, except for a problem with the health and hunger bars Hunger doesn't decrease, and if a player takes damage they just regenerate it all very quickly.
I'm expecting this to be something very simple I am overlooking. But it would be very helpful to get a response soon.

It was the difficulty level in the server that needed to be changed however one other bug I'm facing is that the chests refil every time it is opened?

Don't worry, the teleportation of the winner will be handled with the spectator system. As for the "feast" chest refill, I would consider that really low priority at the moment. Make a ticket though so I can add it in when the plugin is more complete. And thanks for promoting our plugin! :)

I suppose I could do that in the future but again, very low priority. Personally I have no sympathy for people who log out. You never know what they could have been avoiding. But make a ticket for me to see in the future and hopefully add it as a feature.

So at a time that i set into the config also coords then it generates a drop of chests? that are random or filled with the config file?
Also we need that exit point for the last person living/alive

Posted Jun 5, 2012Great plugin. Coding is fine, not laggy atall. Not many bugs, but the occasional bug where some chests dont spawn when assigned, and the occasional bug timer dosent start. Like to see added: Some system where players get stuff back

Could you make an option for the removeing of the player if they disconnect from the server. So they are not kicked immediately but in like a set amount of time. This is so that if someone disconnects due to bad conection etc.... then they can come back.

So if the arena I am using is circular, would it work if used the points which select the entire circle (the corners of the square the circle would fit into)? Thanks

Cuboids:
You don't have to set walls, the cuboid is inclusive of the points, so yes, just where people walk. Height doesn't matter, cuboid points only care about X and Z coordinates.

Wow, really helpful video! Goes through everything =D I just have a few questions concerning the cuboid points: When you set the 2 cuboid points for the arena, should I include the walls of the arena? Or just where people can walk? And does it need to include height as well? Lastly, for future updates you may want to make it so you can select it with world edit - just an idea :P Thanks Sharp237

Completely finished? I don't know. What I do know is that we will at least have it semi-functional in the next couple of days. Also, no, not really an abundance of ideas for the chat. We don't even have the restriction working yet.
On a brighter note: Yay! Arena setup video tutorial is now in the post. I made it, and I've never made a Minecraft video or anything before, so don't hate. xD
