HiddenSwitch
Ugly buttons, pressure plates, or levers making your secret passages obvious? Need a way to make your hidden rooms really hidden? Then this is the plugin for you...
HiddenSwitch adds a number of options for hiding buttons and levers, and can be set up using signs or commands. Switches can be hidden behind, above, or below a specific 'switch' block that can be made of any material. Hit your switch block and activate your hidden switch. Simple right?
Features
Sign based hidden switches
- Sign tags (or headers) can be set in the config to anything you want (that will fit on a sign of course)
- Signs can be set by the creating player to only function for them or any single player they choose
- Signs can be set by the creating player to only function if the activating player is holding a specific item
Command Based Hidden Switches
- No signs required
- Users can set a block to be a hidden switch simply by pointing at the block they want to use and using a simple command.
- Command Based Hidden Switches (KeyBlocks) can be locked by user or held item just like sign based blocks.
Permissions
- Groups for easy setup
- Individual permissions to control access to almost every individual feature for more advanced setups

Posted May 28, 2012cool plugin :) !
but i have a suggestion, sorry if it is already in the plugin:
when you make a sign and write,
[lchs]
me
bone
consume
then you have to click the the hidden switch with a bone, and when you do that, the bone will disappear. that whould be awsome :) ! .
suggestion for my suggestion ^^ :
the same thing with the bone, but just with money instead of the bone
[lchs]
me
10
consume
.. 10 ingame dollar disappear. woosh.
Gabriel ;)

Posted Mar 16, 2012i would love to see this integrated with the factions plugin so that only members of a faction or non faction members can access the switch (like me/not-me)

I have tested the current version of HiddenSwitch against r5 build #1952 (the latest dev build at the time of this post) and don't see any issues.

They should be compatible, what versions of HS and LWC did you try?
If it's not doing anything at all it sounds like it may not be running. Did HS report anything in the console?
With no config HS should report something along the lines of:

Posted Jan 2, 2012hmm i see no config in HiddenSwitch folder(did startup the server a couple of times just to be sure). the [lchs] on the first line doesn't seem to do anything... Any chance that HS is incompatible with LWC?

Using the sign based switches, there is no need for a backend at all. The db would be more for the command set-up where regular blocks are tracked.
I'm not 100% settled on how they are going to be stored, at the moment flatfile is a likely option.

Posted Jan 1, 2012Nice, but could you add flatfile support? Because I run a small server, and mySQL/SQLite isn't worth it.
