Herobrine

Who is Herobrine?
Herobrine is a legend of a lost miner who is supposed to exist in Minecraft, although he doesn't and was just some rumor made up. However, he is said to haunt the player and the game, the other Herobrine plugins acted although we was a mugger, disobeying the legends. But this plugin aims to set things straight and bring back the legend that is Herobrine.

What can I do?
You can configure just about everything, what he says, what he can do, who he is, and more. This includes Herobrine's name, messages, and abilities.
- The Github for Herobrine can be found at https://github.com/nkrecklow/Herobrine.
- For the list of commands, type: "/hb" (alias: "/hbu") (requires OP or "herobrine.commands").
- Ignore players with the permission "herobrine.ignore".
What can he do?
Following the legends, Herobrine is able to do many things, growing with each update.
- Randomly place signs with creepy messages.
- Randomly place torches around players.
- Play sounds of footsteps and creepy noises.
- Steal from chests and inventories.
- Targets alone players, and is more active at night.
- The ability to create and build pyramids.
- The ability to create and build TNT traps.
- "Possession" where the player looses all control.
- Spawn a random amount of bats when he spawns.
- Ability to enable and disable everything he does.
- Destroy torches near players.
- Spawn random (and angry) wolves near players.
- Create rings of fire.
- Create graves.
- Rearrange chests or inventories.
- Give players books with custom messages.
- Cause random explosions or lightning.
- Launch the player into the air.
- Put your head on a pike.
- Randomly spin and rotate the player.
- Destroy chests and drop their contents.
- Randomly set the player on fire.
- Creates nether infections, where hell meets Earth.
- Can decay nearby flowers, turning them into mushrooms.
- Randomly generates "hotspots", where actions are more likely to occur.
- And more, I'm always expanding the plugin!
Did somebody say custom mobs/items?
There are three mobs currently, you can check them out on the images page:
- Unknown Demon drops a Blood Gem.
- Fallen Angel drops a Greed Gem.
- Hell's Guardian drops a Midnight Gem.
- Religious Follower drops a Satanic Book.
- Together the three gems can be combined to create Herobrine's Sword.

Can I use an API?
There is a built-in API. It allows developers to register their own actions and commands. Simply import the latest version of Herobrine as a library, and code away.

You would be surprised how many features I never end up publishing or get reverted in the Github repo. Also yes, private copies and some public releases had custom mobs and Herobrine has almost always had buildings, I'm just adding some more besides pyamids, etc. You can always disable the mobs if you don't like them.

Dont mention it; I have some other ideas behind this too. The philosophy behind my ideas is that herobrine should be a common goal to defeat between players(that arent in his cult). People should eb able to interact with herobrine and fight against him or for him in some way. And while he cannot be really dead; as that would make it boring; you should be able to somehow defeat him or think you can defeat him. Thanks for considering my ideas!

Posted Mar 30, 2013If youd like; I have some ideas:
-Factions Support
-Herobrine ATTACKS; as in, for a long time herobrine attacks a single player(or better yet a faction) with his abilities and maybe sending in mobs. I did this with my players saying it was herobrine and they, absolutely LOVED it and were scared enough to piss.
-Herobrine GROUNDS where his attacks are common and better yet he can be killed. These might be marked by redstone torches and graves.
-Herobrine Shrines of summoning
-Better config; as in more options for things like chance attacks and ability to configure attacks that he does
-More ways he can be summoned for his activities; maybe instead of just chance walking attempts something else like actions the players do; so it can be more PLAYER BASED rather than CHANCE BASED
-Herobrine will choose players to work for him; a few people; and they would be secretively be in this cult.
Theres not nowhere to go dude... These are just off the top of my head. Dont be lazy and copy from herobrine AI; theres aways to go.

It's quite ironic you say that. I'm still porting old stuff to the new system, custom items and mobs were part of that. If HerobrineAI has adopted any of that then it was either copied from me or suggested to him I guess. Also, I don't have any other direction to go really, I'm out of ideas and nobody is suggesting them.

Epic! However, what is special about the mobs? They have cool names and armor, but are they anything more then just naturally spawned mobs with gear?
