Half-Slab Utilities
Informative video here: http:www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUWTlBfUjF8
This is a mod which makes half-slabs a ton easier to build with! No more will you have to deal with the annoying reality of upside-down slabs, the missing right-click functionality, and the breakage of both blocks giving you headaches!
With this small, simple and effective plugin, you can expect the following fixes:
Break only the side you want to break!
Tired of the whole doubleslab exploding in front of you? Chip off the side you want to chip!

Place upside-down slabs by aiming!
Annoyed by having to aim at the bottom of a block to place an upsidedown slab? No more! Simply aim at the top half of the side of another block and right-click!

Missing right-click functionality!
Placed an upsidedown slab by accident and want to make a double-slab? Simply right-click beside or underneath a half-slab to place a block underneath it and complete it!

Attach upside-down-slabs!
Upside-down slabs can now be chained together, allowing you to quickly build floors and other devices!

That is impossible in minecraft using solid blocks. It's only possible using minecarts with blocks with offsets, but that block would be impossible to step on.

Posted Nov 25, 2012You've managed to miss the ONE most important thing that people don't like about slabs. You can't place a block on top of a half space...
Do that and this plugin will be SO INCREDIBLY POPULAR.

I realized what the problem was... using TMI I was at times using half slab blocks 44:9, 44:10,44:11,44:12,44:13
they sort of look the same as the other half slab blocks, only they aren't.

That's strange. It seems to work fine on my end (as that's kind of one of the first things you'd do with any half-slab).
Do you have any plugins that might be interfering with the place event?

Wait, are you saying that placing a slab on top of a block makes it upside-down? That would be a bug...

Because of no client-side support you have to deal with the "ghost" lower side slab until the client is told about it.
As long as you're aiming at the lower half it should work, as well as building on the side of regular half-slabs. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that part.

Posted Mar 18, 2012Its awesome, and also a bit annoying at times, like trying to place a slab directly on top of another block, and it moves the slab in the air. It seems its a bit finicky when it comes to placing the old style slabs now, where you need an adjacent block to click on the lower half of it just to get the new slab block on the bottom.
Still much easier for placing the top slab blocks than before, just needs some tweaking.
Oh and perm node would be good yeh.

It's funny, I wasn't going to add a permission node because I didn't think anybody would need it.. but it seems I was wrong!
Threw it on the todo.
