Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Nov 1, 2012Only the critical features have been tested (anti-grief for land claims, and land claim creation). Given incomplete GP testing and also incomplete Bukkit testing, there's still a chance of bugs in other areas. Use at your own risk!
6.9 Updates!
@netherfoam
Unfortunately, bukkit doesn't know what a serrated strike is. I guess McMMO is modeling that damage as health reduction through code or something (I'd have to look at their source code). I can only cancel events that bukkit tells me about. :)

Posted Nov 1, 2012It appears mcMMO abilities like serrated strikes (bleeding effect) lets players kill animals in someone elses claim. Can you adjust the priority of your listener to fix this or something? :)

Posted Nov 1, 2012Hey all, I'm aware of the beta build release and I'm working on updating GP and testing the essential bits (claimed land protection). Assuming there are no severe issues which leave land claims open to grief, lag servers, or crash servers, you can expect a 1.4 compatible GP build tonight or tomorrow morning. If there are severe issues which I cannot fix due to bugs in Bukkit, I will not release, and will instead wait for those platform bugs to be fixed before retesting.

You're right about the smashing. LOL! What a destructive ** the Wither is! :D
Yet, it's only the physical attacks of the Wither which destroy claims. The explosions don't seem to do any damage to claims.

Nothing is protected from the wither when it smashes through things and moves towards you. GP doesn't protect blocks from that, Towny doesn't, LWC doesn't. But I think the dev builds of WorldGuard do protect from it though.

Posted Oct 31, 2012Great plugin, one of my top 5 plugins to date! I've been messing around with it on the new beta build craftbukkit and wanted to mention, (you probably already know) is Item Frames are not protected.
Thanks for your contribution to the public with this fantastic plugin, my members love it !

Posted Oct 31, 2012No I understand the cross over issue. I will just have to code a solution.
Ultimately Im looking to kill this pumping issue even if I have to tweak a few functions and functionality.

I think you missed my point. Please re-read more carefully my explanation of why the +1 boundaries would be a potential issue. :)

Posted Oct 31, 2012Not quite bigscary :)
If I activate the suggested change and limit it to pipes that should do the trick. After all, when do players ever really need to place a pipe that goes nowhere.
I realise I could just try and educate the server community, but sadly it seems that young internet gamers have lost the ability to read :)
Mind you I do like the simplicity of a +1 area buffer. Not how the plugin is intended I know but this issue has been causing a huge amount problem on my server.
Lastly, thanks for actually replying to my posts, most plugin authors are considerably less tolerant and active.

Don't know, need a craft bukkit beta build. Bukkit guys haven't given any ETA.
@freakyy85
Glad you figured it out. :)
@Praqoon
Yes I've known it a long time, but this is the first time griefers have as a community shown their support.
@krisdestruction
Well too bad. :) I'm not going to set up some build system and do daily checkins just so you can perv on me. No offense intended.

Yeah, it's great news indeed. You seem surprised at the griefer community considering GP as the No.1 plugin to stop them in their mischief. This puzzles me. Surely you must appreciate by now that what you've created with GP goes far and beyond that which any other plugin can manage? I have regarded it as the no.1 plugin from the day I was told about it. In fact, I LOVE Grief Prevention and would never consider running a server without it.
Celebrations... just tell me know where and when! hehe ;)
