Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

LimitSkyTrees is not missing in my GP v6.9 config.yml - but it is set to false. :)
@MCZq
First you should update to Grief Prevention v6.9 BETA - then test again.

Posted Nov 3, 2012We run a creative server, in the past players could not remove a claim - this was ideal. Now it seems this has changed. Why? And How do I regain the old behaviour?
It seems the permission nodes are also not being respected for this and cannot be worked around by denying griefprevention.deleteclaims permission.
19:32:03 [INFO] User MCZq checked for "griefprevention.deleteclaims", "-griefprevention.deleteclaims" found 19:32:03 [INFO] GriefPrevention: MCZq abandoned a claim @ flat(-815,2,-319)
Players are now also able to resize their claims smaller, leaving work exposed to be reclaimed by others + then griefed if they choose to do so. If possible it would be great to stop this.
We are running 6.8.1.

Posted Nov 3, 2012Quick tip - in the 1.4.2 build 6.9 beta config.yml the following configuration node is MISSING:
LimitSkyTrees: true
I wish to allow players to plant and harvest trees in the Nether, in underground tree farms, etc. With the current default config, this is not possible. Saplings merely bounce back to your hand when you try to plant them in any soil or grass of any depth under ground or under a roof. This does not happen in vanilla server or Bukkit server without GP!
I have added the line to the recent config.yml file and it seems to work now set to :false.

I've have had a chance to test the new GP v6.9. It's not gone well with the Wither but the item frames/anvil/beacon are protected and players do need the right access to use them. So, all the items seem to be working perfectly. ;)
Ok, so the Wither... I REALLY hate this god-awful menace from HELL!!! Anyway, I made a claimed building which was enclosed without an exit. I made the space inside 3 blocks high from floor block to ceiling block and it was approx 20 x 40 sq width/length. The material was netherbrick. Then I spawned an Iron Golem, shortly followed by a Wither.
At first the Wither just sat there with it's energy bar rising slowly. When it sent out an explosion, as the energy bar hit max, the Wither jumped up into the ceiling and broke some blocks but did not rise further or escape. Then the Iron Golem started attacking it and more blocks broke. It looked like blocks broke each time the Wither tried to "jump" away from the Golem. It did not seem like the Wither was doing it with physical attacks as it was doing before, with GP 6.8.1. installed. This is kinda weird.
When I spawned a Wither outside a claim. Things went pretty ok until the Wither started chasing a villager. When the villager ran and entered a claimed building - the Wither started to demolish the building in order to get to the villager. So, the Wither is still able to destroy claimed blocks but not in the same way it did before I updated to GP v6.9. Before GP v6.9 the Wither was WAYYYY more destructive and unpredicatble.
My suggestion is that you do some testing yourself, bigscary. See if you find the same results as me. I dunno why the Wither is still able to break blocks (by some method) but I'm not sure if this would be an acceptable by-product, like if someone were insane enough to spawn one of these Withers inside a claimed structure.

One of them are my claim's subclaim (sold with Real Estate extend plugin) and that's where we started to speak of this problem. I will ask him if he have difficulties with his own claims.

The 1.4 update is already out, the bukkit dev guys haven't approved the file yet. Click the blue "files" link at the top of the page to get it.
Check that guy's claims. I'll bet he made them as administrative claims. If that's the case, use /transferclaim to make them his personal claims.

Posted Nov 2, 2012Hey once again!
I know you'r having a hurry with 1.4.2 update but just one thing: my previous Operator (which had all the griefprevention permissions, now demoted) can't anymore destroy, edit blocks or anything in his claims (nowadays no admin permissions). When I give him all the griefprevention permissions again he can edit stuff inside his claims as usual.

Thanks!

Yeah I'm saying if you changed your priority for an entity damage event and cancelled the event, shouldn't mcmmo respect that and not cause the damage over time? Unless you're already listening on lowest.. Then mcmmo is either being rude like that or using some other method
