Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

This is a long shot, but I used to work on a plugin called TekkitCustomizer. It had a /blockinfo command which would give you the id/data value for both what's in your hand and the block you're pointing at. The guy I handed it off to seems to have abandoned the project, but MAYBE an old build will still work, at least for this one command.
@dutchrastacraft
Thanks! Sadly, looks like no further improvements. I'm tempted to code specifically to make that pct tick column look better, but realistically it's probably best for me to focus on more important stuffs. Hey, with all those players... do you happen to have a lot of land claims in flat file mode? I'm looking for a big collection of flat file mode claims for the boot performance work.

I've tried searching, just to start out for the Carptener's Door and I can't find it. Is there no other way possible to get block ids? This is crazy that no one else uses mods and protects modded doors and such? lol...there has got to be a better way to see block ids.

To fix your problem, I need more info - specifically the logs from your UUID migration (the first boot after updating). Hopefully there will be a hint about the cause of your problem in the logs.
@ClimacticGaming
Yep I remember you, and I saw that conversation. I don't know how to use whatever that Waila thing is, sorry. :( Maybe try a different approach - can you get the block IDs you need with an internet search?
@pr4xt3roy
Yes that would speed up the migration process. :) Hey, you'd be my new best friend if you zipped your claim files up and posted them so I could download them. I've been looking for a large flat file data store with lots of land claims for performance improvement work.
About your profile pic - are you a sheep with a mustache?! That's fantastic.

Posted Oct 24, 2014Hello, there.
It is really great to see frequent updates on this plugin again. Thank you so much! :)
We have 12k+ players so the UUID migration process is very slow as expected. 25 players/minute avg. ... so that's going to take over 7 hours to run... I am going it on a copy of my server now, to see how it will work out. I am using flat files. If I find any users without any claims and I remove their PlayerData files, won't that speed up the migration process and will that cause any issues? I understand that they will loose their gained claimable blocks but those without any claims do not seem to care anyway, so I dont! I can make a script that will read every flat files for users and find their claims and if they have none, it will remove them before I update the plugin.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks. :)

So another friendly user was helping me, but I am using Minecraft 1.7.10 and is there some sort of difference in block ids in this version?
The user below said this: "Also I did this on a 1.6.4 pack and idk what has changed to WAILA in 1.7.10, just try different settings :P" So...he was assisting me with his 1.6.4, but I'm on 1.7.10... Is there anything you know or can assist with regarding block ids and modded items/doors for 1.7.10?
I'm the user if you recall having trouble with griefprevention recognizing modded doors/items as I'm using the NEI item number.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. I like how you're replying to everyone here. :D
You're doing pretty nice with the updates too. I'll go back to v7.7 for now with the backup and update once a recommended version is out. For the meantime I'll test some new features out with a test server I have and report anything wrong I find :)

@KevinEssence
That sounds awful. How often does your server crash? Do you think GP is to blame for the crashing? If so, please pass along any data you have - log entries, etc which make you think so, and I will investigate. If not, there's probably very little I can do to help. Without more information, there's definitely nothing I can do.

Well all I can say is good luck as I don't have the time to download the pack and troubleshoot. Sorry
Also I did this on a 1.6.4 pack and idk what has changed to WAILA in 1.7.10, just try different settings :P

Yep I've done singleplayer, I have WAILA harvestability addon as well so I've turned that off in single player. I only see the item id in NEI and then when I place it it shows exactly how yours does EXCEPT for the block id.
Nothing is turning it on for me to see. :( I'm so close to finally figuring out the block ids for this plugin and I can't see them lmao.
I ensured I have the vanilla pack, no optifine or anything, singleplayer, creative, WAILA metaid visible...and nothing.
I'm using Bevo's Tech Pack (ATLauncher) 10.6 - FULL

Well I'm at a loss
Have you tried Single Player? Also what modpack are you running?
That setting that I told you to turn to visible is what allowed me to see the block id of the block in the world

Yeah I don't need the metadata part of the id, I need the block id. When I place the door down, all it shows is the name of the door. No id. Like how in your picture the first one shows the item id in your hand/NEI, then when you look at it, it shows a different number, the block id right? Well I have the metadata set to visible and it's still not showing it.
Perhaps thats not the right thing I need to set then.
I need it to show the block id when I look at it on the ground

Ummm idk sorry.
You have to be looking at the door that you placed in game, technically you don't need the meta data part of the door since you should be using id:* since the top and bottom or whether the door is open or closed all have the same id but different meta data

Well I'm on my server and it's still not showing the metadata part for the block id. I see it in the WAILA options, I've changed it to visible. It didn't work. Pressing 1 just turns WAILA on and off. I went to my server config and turned it to 'true' and rebooted, still not showing. Hmm
It's true in my client config as well

You probably will have to enable it using 1 on the number pad.

Hi, I changed it to visible, but I still don't see the information like in your picture. Is it when I place it on the ground I see it? Or do I need to press another key after that? I can't see it in my hand either, just the original NEI info.

Thank you very much AeroEden for this information as well as @bigscary.
Do you know how to enable this feature? And can I do this client side?
I do have WAILA, but not sure how to turn it on. Do I need to look at the config?
