Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Sep 8, 2014Thank you for restarting with the 7.7 code base. GP was a great plugin which, in my opinion, suffered from feature creep. 7.8 had gotten way out of hand in that regard. Please keep it simple. Thanks again...

Just wanted to say a big thank you for coming back and continuing development of GP! Was afraid it was dead after updates to Jenkins stopped in April, and there was never any sign of the road to 7.8 finishing. This plugin is no longer used on my server now in favor of a simpler plugin with some custom tweaks, but GP was extremely crucial to my server for the past year and I still think it's one of, if not the best land management plugins out there and will continue to benefit others now that you're back.

Posted Sep 7, 2014I use 7.8 beta, Flatfile and so far so good. This is what I did: Backup my 7.8 data & delete it from the server. Install 8.0 GP. Start/Stop the server. Copied the 7.8 PlayerData & ClaimData over to server. Delete the first line (UUID) in each claim file. Edit your config and your done. So far its working fine.

I want to look into this but I need more info.
Also, please contact BlocksHub. I don't know what that is, but that's actually where your error originates. From the very top of your log entry.
"Error occurred while enabling BlocksHub v0.5"
@confuser
I'm truly sorry, I know this sucks, but it's the better of two bad options. I'm literally losing sleep over this situation - I do care very much.

Posted Sep 7, 2014Its great that its back in good hands, but you cannot be serious with your "solution" to updating from the beta builds. It is not hard to to build a converter, the files are dead simple. Asking a server to roll back months of claims or stop advertising while your entire player base reclaims their areas (while opening every claim to griefing) is just ridiculous.

Posted Sep 7, 2014Expecting servers to revert back to an old data format, without providing a conversion? Great, thanks.
After almost 3 years of using this plugin, you're essentially sticking your middle finger up at everyone saying "I don't care what the previous author did, and it's not my problem".
Some of us have servers with tens of thousands of claims, not just a few which players won't mind re-claiming.
The fact you've also removed the 7.8 build from bukkit dev as well, I guess we'll just have to put up with these bizarre changes.
On the other hand, it's nice to see someone who actually knows what they're doing taking back the project.

Check back often this week!
We're still testing for griefing opportunities introduced by Mojang since our 7.7 release. Check back often this week, because any grief opportunities we close will be immediately published in a new version of Grief Prevention.

Tough to take you seriously with that name - but props, I like it. ;) Haha. Please explain what you mean by "not working" so we can investigate.
@erik1988
There is no UUID support in 8.0, and besides that, there's no method for converting beta build data to 8.0 format. You have to either use a backup from 7.7 if you have one, or trash all your data and start over. Sorry. :\
@Basurci
Could be something to do with our anti spam and/or automatic caps fixing.
@zunnu
Yes, stand in the subdivision when you use /trust.
@ha11oga11o
I have no idea how well GP will work on Spigot, sorry - we only have time to test GP against CraftBukkit. You can hop ahead to 8.0 now that it's out - if you have a backup from 7.7, use it. Otherwise, you gotta throw your data out the window and start over.

Hello,
you actually suggesting to revert it back to 7.7 right now to preserve data, so when you cone "good one" all it will be fine?
Just today i updated mine server to 1.7.10 spigot and i wondering will it be better just to stop it delete all claims from MySQL and use 7.7 flat. Well,.. will it work on 1.7.10??
Anyways many thnx for all you effort. Without this plugin ... well, we all know what ours server will look like without it :)
Cheers :)
