Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Sep 6, 2014So when going back to 7.7 from the beta. If there is just a few claims that needs to be reclaimed, can I just replace the UUID with the player name, and everything will work as it suppose to?

What I have in store for you, sir, is peace of mind! =D I like your attitude - I hope others in your situation will take the change in stride as well. It's scary at first to think about land claims disappearing, but when you really think hard about it, it's a temporary problem that really only concerns your current active player base - for almost all servers, that's not a tremendous challenge to overcome.

Posted Sep 5, 2014Had a tough time sleeping last night because I couldn't stop thinking about this project - looking forward to digging in today. :)
If any of you have been using one of the "beta" builds on a production server, strap on your seat belt (meaning find your data backups) because you're going back in time. If you don't have a backup (the change logs warned you!), start thinking about your strategy to get claims re-claimed after a reset. My recommendation would be to (after you install the new hotness) stop advertising your server for a couple of weeks and ask your current players to reclaim their builds. Most players who would be gone for the full reclaiming time probably aren't coming back because they've worn out Minecraft or moved on to another server. You can also use /adminclaims to quickly protect your favorite player builds.
If you're CURRENTLY running on a beta build, the sooner you roll back the better, because your players will continue doing more stuff that will have to be redone (backup or no backup).
I know this will make many of you very angry with us, but that's the risk you take in using a beta build with a giant bug disclaimer on your production server, and it's the only way we can wrangle this project in a reasonable amount of time.
Estimate: Stable, grief-free build in a week or two. :)

Posted Jul 15, 2014Hi, I'm trying to make a plugin to disable the mining of ores outside of claims, and I wanted to ask if you could add something in your API such as canDestroy(player, blockLocation) that returns true if its in their claim, and false if its not. It would be really useful. Thanks!

Posted Jul 14, 2014How do I add new items to the list with the beta version?
For example, I want to add:
ME Crafting Terminal
I tried following the existing format by adding this to the end of Containers:
but that didn't stop people from accessing the ME system.

1. You are a potato sir. 2. Read documentation it clearly says u can edit config to allow people to place lava/water in world. Or give them permissions. 3. Don't post comments if u haven't read documentation or tickets.

Claim size is calculated on the fly too. Basic cuboid construction involves the coordinates of two blocks, a block where x, y, and z is greater (i.e. the Greater Corner) and a block where x,y, and z is least (the Lesser Corner). You can mathematically calculate all other dimensions of a rectangular cuboid from just those two points. Getting the other 6 corners is as easy as creating permutations of those coordinates (i.e. Greater X, Greater Y, Lesser Z OR Lesser X, Greater Y, Lesser Z).
To get dimensions however, you just subtract. For example if I subtracted the Lesser Y from the Greater Y I would have the height, Subtract LX from GX to get width and LZ from GZ to get length. After that we go back to basics (as if we weren't already in basics), Area = Length x Width x Height.

In reply to creating a sensible default config, I think the config I use for my mainworld might be close to being MUCH more sensible for the general public for install the plugin and go! We spent about 6 hours fine tuning it, but there are still some majour bugs in GP which create loopholes, A few off the top of my head are:
Here is my main world config: http://pastebin.com/V5Ar4u4u
