Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Dec 16, 2013I am having a bit of a problem with Item Frames not working right in claims. In the claim if i put something in the frame I can't get it out. Outside of a claim works fine. I have to abandon the claim to get the item out and take down the frame. Tried it with my admin claims and personal claims with the same result. I can click it just fine to rotate the item in the frame.

Item frames are protected in recent builds but a creeper explosion will still pop items out of frames in protected areas (and leave the frames themselves intact).

For 20 hours, I can spot a total of 7 missing claims. Please reply, this is a vital feature in the city-building and I sure hope we both want this problem solved.

Posted Dec 15, 2013So I've been running CB's 1.7.2 server (build 2958) and using GP build 211, and we've been having a very peculiar issue with creepers. It seems they can't blow up in or out of claims, but if they're next to a normal chest, it'll blow up normally. This appear to be the case regardless of the area being claimed (also including admin claims). I'm not sure if this is a bug or mal-configured setup. If it's a config issue, could you point me at the config option? Or if it's a bug with conflicting plugins, possibly tell me which plugins it may conflict with?

Posted Dec 15, 2013Is there a way to preserve pre-7.8 claims stored using flat-file storage?
I have 358 claims and I really don't want to go around reclaiming them.

GP doesn't have either buyclaim or sellclaim commands. That's provided by a Real Estate Plugin.
@Armyman329
Item Frames are protected. I don't know why it isn't working for you.
@CoolGamrSms
Should be fixed in the next build. I'll promote that to a beta if it builds properly this evening.
@sadow200
Some of the material names listed in your world configuration are not valid. Note that you cannot specify names for modded blocks in Material lists if you want to use them, you need to specify their block ID.

Posted Dec 15, 2013Hey I've been looking for a great plugin like this just to protect my shops because there seems to be an exploit out there where item frames cannot be protected. I have these shops which obviously have item frames and it is claimed as warzone in factions and protected with worldguard and has "entity-item-frame-destroy deny" set, but players can still come along and go in the shops and break the items frames to a diamond block or a creeper egg. I tried out this plugin and claimed the whole shop area but it still seems that players can still break my item frames. I thought that it would fix this because in your video that you can't hurt animals so I thought that you couldn't hit any entities but I guess not. You cannot hurt animals in the region but can still steal from other player's item frames. Is there any way that you could fix this? Thanks.

Posted Dec 15, 2013Some subclaims seem to be disappearing... I protected spawn with an admin claim, then set 20 subclaims, each day I get in and set again 2 or 3. What I notice is that while normal claims have IDs in the database 1500 and up, subclaims nest in the first 20, which were empty rows due to a recent cleanup. Are you sure that inserting rows in lower indexes than the max is not a problem?

Posted Dec 15, 2013It would be great to have the buy sell claim function to prevent scamming on big servers. For instance, /sellclaim {playername} {price}
It's a quick to add function but it would be very helpful. Thanks for considering it.

Arguably expecting a method to be implemented as it's interface documents is not overlooking something. the Inventory interface's "getContents()" method, which GP uses, is documented as returning <all> ItemStacks from the Inventory. The fact that it doesn't return the Armor slots is because apparently the PlayerInventory implementation has decided that "all" apparently doesn't include everything. Oh well. I'll make a mental note to give that a tweak.
@TobyWiddows
if you are using 7.7, it sounds like your worlds are in "Creative" mode. You can move the worlds from the "CreativeRulesWorlds" list to "SurvivalWorlds" (I forget the specific names of these nodes, but they are are lists of worlds).
If you are using the 7.7 beta you will need to change the "CreativeRules" setting to false within each world configuration. The thing where you can place blocks is actually a bug in that setting implementation since it's supposed to block both, and it's partly superceded by other settings which is why it hasn't yet been fixed (or removed).
@thernztrom
You should be able to create an Administrator Claim covering that area, and then grant full trust to everybody with '/trust public'
@thereallegend
Actually, SuperPyroManiac has forked and continued that plugin for GP 7.8 and later. You can find his version here.

Posted Dec 14, 2013Can you do something to update this plugin? http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/gp-region-market/
With 1.7 it doesn't work and the developer seem to abandoned it and without it player can't sell claims. Otherwise can you add this option on GriefPrevetion plugin?

Hello! I've been reading the documentation, but been struggling to find a way to make a big selection "open" for everybody, with no build/blockplace resitrictions. (Here I will use WorldGuard and its flags instead to regulate this)
In our world its denied to place/break blocks in wilderness, but not in their claims. However now I want to claim a big area for the server, with no rules, which everyone on the server should be able to build/brake blocks in. Is that possible? (flags, permissions?)

Posted Dec 14, 2013Serious noob questions here. I am just starting to try and use GP. it's great and does what it says in the tin, but I must be missing something stooopid as i cant get it to allow players to breakblocks in the wildernes, they can place blocks fine, but when it comes to digging or breaking they get told they need to claim the land.
I run a small server for my kids and their friends, i have previously used world guard to protect their builds, i would region their areas for them. GP seems a better alternative as they can easily create areas and control access to them, but i would like everyone to be able to build/dig/destory outside of the claims.
