Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

'CreativeRules' is broken partly because it was one of those stop-gap settings. Really it replaces the "CreativeRulesWorlds" group of settings, but really it was special flag to simply have some special features.
Chances are it's functionality will no longer include block placement, and be restricted to the Entity and similar cleanup functions.
To replace it, you can change your "Blockplacement" and "BlockBreaking" rules to deny placing and breaking blocks outside of claims entirely, which should give you the same effect.

Posted Dec 12, 2013Tried various beta builds up to the current as of now (206) and the Creative rules don't work correctly.
Users can place blocks outside of their plots when before they were prevented, they are prevented from breaking blocks though.
Any change config wise to cause this? Or bug? Want to switch to latest to avoid item frame bug, but this creative issue is keeping me on a real old version of the plugin.

Posted Dec 12, 2013Just when I thought my players could safely put items in item frames, I got proven wrong by a creeper.
Those creepers, I swear. They can blow up items that are in protected item frames :-)

Posted Dec 12, 2013Players, who have leased admin subclaims, via the updated RealEstate plugin, who have both Manager and Build permissions, dont have access to /trust. Is that intentional?

You might be able to use /trust !public on the subdivided claim. ! should act as a negative permission operator. I don't know if that would work.
Otherwise, subclaims can only give more permissions, not take them away. In your case you would have to have the area where your hunt occurs as one subclaim, which you can give container access in; the storage room would be in the claim itself and would not give container permissions.

Posted Dec 11, 2013Is there a way to set negative permissions on a subdivided claim?
Example: I have a large castle claimed and I want to have a hidden chest hunt in it, so I need to give people container access, but I don't want to let them access the chests in my storage room, so I subdivide the claim and put a small claim on my storage room, then override the main claim's permissions to take away container access in the subdivided area.

There isn't one. Change blockPlacement and BlockBreaking Rules to deny in the wilderness for the same effect.
If you want to let your players place a chest in the wilderness to create a claim, add 'Chest' to the place overrides. This will probably get added as the default.
@spblat
you want 'griefprevention.spam.chat' rather than griefprevention.spam now.
@dutchrastacraft
It also requires deleteclaims permission (griefprevention.claims.delete).
@colamonster091
It does not affect weather.
@TJW28
It looks like it reads and saves the command list to block, but doesn't actually store it in the location that it checks later, so the list of commands to block will always be empty. Just made a quick fix for that, should appear in #206.

There is a different method, one that I use - just give certain groups claim blocks. You can assign different amounts of claim blocks to a certain permission. /acb [example.group] 5000 would give anyone with the example.group permission 5000 claim blocks. Since it's attached to the permission, you can simply remove the permission to remove the claim blocks.

Posted Dec 11, 2013Jenkins build 205 of GP now allows claim owners to manage their own item frames in the latest 1.7.2 dev build. Thanks!
Lately it seems that only Ops get to bypass spam protection, not users with the "griefprevention.spam" permission. And my spam settings don't seem to be taking effect. Users' second repeated chat is muted, and auto-ban happens around 4. Any suggestions?

Posted Dec 11, 2013Using the latest Builds, we've noticed that BlockedSlashCommands do not seem to be being blocked. When in PVP, players can still use the /home, /tpa, /spawn commands ect.
Used to work flawlessly, so Im not sure if something has changed that I am unaware of.
Other than that, keep up the excellent work BC, it is appreciated.

Posted Dec 11, 2013Hi there, me again.
I was wondering where to find the GriefPrevention.Claims.NoSurvivalBuildingOutsideClaims in the world configs. This update made us think of some changes in the way we operate our different worlds and we'd like to set this up in one of the worlds.
