Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

7.7 doesn't protect horses and leads and whatnot, but it should work no worse than it does in previous versions.

It may not be updated quite yet, but, it works with 1.6.4 CB. I forgot which build I use, but it works for both. I think it's the latest Recommended build, but still, not sure. It's like Multiverse and PlotMe, it works for versions beyond what it's updated to.

No, it's here
@anfereon
OK, let me be frank.
It's being updated on a near constant basis.
If, as you evidently are, you are referring to the file uploaded to bukkit, exactly what would be the difference between a development build and a 'release' version made available here? It won't magically be more stable or have fewer bugs.

Posted Nov 27, 2013Hey hey,
I'm having some massive issues that have lead to MK2 crafting tables being banned on my server. The issue is that... When somebody right clicks an Mk2 table, the API opens and if they attempt to put an item in, the server crashes.
I'm on my phone, at work so I don't have the error code for you, nor am I blaming GP, I was just wondering...
Is there any way you could prevent MK2 tables API from being open through GP or is that something that's out of your power.
Thanks!

Data is much more easily handled in SQL mode.
From the users perspective I suppose, but the Schema used with MySQL is awful. the fact that it uses a table to store the "next claim ID" instead of using an autonumber/serial field and using a returning clause, using strings for a number of fields instead of database types, etc. I think it might have been originally added by request, and it's just gotten worse from there.
How well does this work on CraftBukkit Version 1.6.4-R2.0?
With regard to "does it run on version Y Version X.X.X" type questions, one could more easily answer them yourself by starting a quick server on your own. If it's a different version from what I'm running that's what I'd have to do anyway, after all. (I don't really have any more insight into whether it would work on specific versions than anybody else :P)
In this case though, since my test server is running 1.6.4-R2.0 (implementing API version 1.6.4-R2.1-SNAPSHOT) I think it's fair to say it runs fine. At least any issues it have are probably not from CB.
Should I report this somewhere, or can it be ignored? It seems to come up really rarely, so I guess it is not such a big deal?
It's a Spigot issue as I understand it- the issue never appears with CraftBukkit. I don't know if spigot has a bug tracker or what.

Nah, the space was taken up by a vast fullrender from dynmap, my bad. :S But it broke some other stuff, that was the problem. Some plugins lost config, after trying to resave on shutdown, and essentials lost around 30 player files. The thing about thousands of little files is, that they can be easily stored in a DB, for easier backup. If I want to download so many files, FileZilla takes about 10mins. With a DB, it is done within a second.

Posted Nov 26, 2013@stgram I mean, seriously, there's like 12000 files in the GriefPreventionData folder and all of them take up 400 KB of space in my server. What the hell are you doing? Also, bump for:

Posted Nov 26, 2013I would highly recommend SQL storage. I had a problem with not enough space on the disk from my hosting provider, which on stop broke 4-5 plugin configs and all the data that plugins write down to files, incl. all my claims. Luckily I had a backup, but switched to SQL imidiately. Data is much more easily handled in SQL mode. :)

Every handler that deals with spam prevention exits if spam features are disabled.
