Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

That's odd. I just downloaded it and dropped it in my Referenced Libraries like I usually do. No Maven needed.

Posted Jul 2, 2013I was going to see what I could do with 1.6.1 now that there is a dev build. Now, normally, this would take maybe 10 seconds after I downloaded the new jar. Thankfully, the project now uses maven, so after an hour of struggling I've still not figured out how to get it working. "Makes dependency management easier". Yeah right.

There is really not much to change in 1.6.1 so it shouldn't need any special release. The only potential change is in the way entity health is handled, but Bukkit made sure it would stay compatible for a few versions until everyone has updated.

I'm running GriefPrevention 7.7 on the CraftBukkit 1.6.1 development build 2795 and it works, but the griefprevention.spam permission doesn't let people with it bypass the login cooldown. Has anyone else run into this?

Even if the 1.6.1 build comes out do you plan on publishing a recomended GriefPrevention build for 1.5.2, since those of us with heavely modded servers won't be able to use the 1.6.1 builds for quite some time?

There is nothing to update to, as there is not currently a build of Bukkit for 1.6.1 (Development or otherwise).
I don't know if using the current version with 1.6 when a CB build is available will cause problems. I'd guess it won't, but I've guessed wrongly before.

This is a really good idea, it'd make getting rid of inactive player's claims soo much easier.

Or, you know, you could use Grief Prevention and not have any need for "jail" or "rollback" and really very little moderation at all, but to each his own.

You're looking for the griefprevention.loginspam permission.

You need vault and an economy plugin.
@numskull34
Seems like this would be pretty easy to abuse by players though. A room full of 50 chests with only 5 of them that have anything would easily defeat the mechanic.
