Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Yes. You would have to use /subdivideclaims to change to subdivision mode, then you can create subdivisions within a claim. In this case you would have to create claims to emcompass the areas you want them to be able to break stuff. The main claim can give container trust, and the subdivisions can give build trust. The redstone stuff wouldn't be in a subdivision so wouldn't get the extra trust.

Posted Jun 20, 2013Hey guys nice work on this plugin realy love it. But just one question is it possible to make it like claims in claims. Because i am in my server a leader of my claim and added 2 players. But I made some real hard redstone circuits that i prefer not getting broke by my 2 players. They maybe dont mean to do it but they can do it without knowing so we have 1 big claim can i put in that big claim some small claims. I hope u can help me
Cheers Emtrix

Posted Jun 20, 2013Build #90, should help prevent the Client Crash observed by SolarKiller13, makes the AFK block distance configurable, and re-organizes the configuration (again). the "rules" are now found in GriefPrevention.Rules.<rulename> rather than being strewn about the cfg. I added a few new "rules" as well. It also adds a new API Event for when Permissions are checked, so ideally a plugin could override the default behaviour.

I don't know what the problem is then. That's the same version Tux2 is using on his server and I've not heard any complaints about redstone. Can you be more specific about the redstone mechanisms "being bad"? Any specific observed behaviour?

Don't try to open chests who's position has been replaced client-side?
@Batyesz
All my redstone stuff seems to work fine on the EpicMinecrafter Server, which to my understanding is running 7.7. What version are you running?

The distance? Currently it is hard-coded at 9 blocks here:
https://github.com/Tux2/GriefPrevention/blob/master/src/me/ryanhamshire/GriefPrevention/tasks/DeliverClaimBlocksTask.java#L62
Sadly it's hard-coded as-is so there isn't an option to change it. You could fork it and change it yourself, but the dev builds are under constant changes. Now that I'm more aware of this I'll probably dig into that particular portion of the logic and try to make it more customizable, as I've done with many other parts of the project.
(EDIT: I misread the code, the check is actually hard-coded to a distance of 3)

With the dev build, it's possible. I don't know about 7.7.
@Solarkiller13
Right now it seems to use a naive algorithm that simply stores the player's location, and each check (for deliver claim blocks) see's if they are farther than a given distance.

Posted Jun 19, 2013i was wondering how the plugin determines who is afk and who isn't. I would assume it is by packets sent right?
