Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Those settings are whether PvP can be initiated within those types of claims.

Posted May 16, 2013Hello,
We just banned a member who griefed in one of our admin claims.
Is there a cheat that bypass the admin claim?
Kind regards,

Could you please write a few lines of text for those items? :)

Posted May 16, 201390% of players at my server, does not know how to claim. They are too young, and does not know how to set the two corners, or keep holding the shovel until both corners are set.
Anyway, some ppl are typing /claim, a CMD that doesn't exist. I would like an alias for "/claim" to react with "/help grief" or something similar, because many of those ppl does not try a second time. I can not just do this from bukkit.yml, since it isn't a CMD yet.

Posted May 15, 2013Love this mod! has saved me time and time again! thank you for making it! I do have a question... I am using another plugin that uses chests for actions and I was wondering if I could disable the initial player claim with a chest and only use the gold shovel for players to claim their land plots?
thanks!
Update...
nevermind! this didn't make sense (Claims.AutomaticNewPlayerClaimsRadius: 4) in the config file but your page actually has awesome documentation that after going through I figured out my question.
Thanks again!

Posted May 14, 2013@LandmineGT How can I prevent [ComputerCraft] and turtles from breaking claims?
You can't. I'm pretty sure they don't get hooked by MCPC or BukkitForge, so GP can't do anything.
As for your second question, it might have the same issue. It might simply not be queryable as a world from the bukkit API and only available to forge.

There is no way to guarantee 16x16 perfect squares unless you create them yourself, but you can limit their blocks to the equivalent size.
Set your InitialBlocks option to 256. Set the BlocksAccruedPerHour to 0. Use the adjustclaimblocks on a permission node (click the first In-Depth Topic above and find "Adjusting a Player's Claim Limit" for more info).

in the dev build /untrust <name> should remove the permissiontrust. It also adds a /clearmanagers command that can be used to clear all permission trusts on a claim, which could resolve the issue if you are able to update to the dev build.

Posted May 12, 2013@IndigoParadox Only issue is that what you've provided so far is entirely unactionable. A Stack Trace would be extremely useful and turn it into something that can be looked into- even if it is an older version, since I can try to determine the root cause, which may very well not be 1.5.2 related. And may still be a concern in current versions. If you still have the logs containing the Stack Trace from the error that would be helpful, Especially if the issue continues with the latest dev builds.

Since you're running 1.5.2, go to the Dev Releases and get one of those. I'm running build 31 and am having no trouble.
BE AWARE, the config has changed from 7.7. I would suggest running it on your test server first to generate a clean config, then modifying it appropriately. Once you have a config that you are satisfied with, transfer the config to your live game server.
I'm telling you what I did for my server, so if you want to do something else, it's entirely up to you.

I never said it was ground breaking, sir. Just throwing it out there. Your frustration of these comments shows through your arrogance in responding to them in such ways that excite anger or confusion in people. Take it easy, man.
