Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Apr 10, 2013I use factions and Towny. I am the owner but just now I was able to place a chest and claim land inside of faction territory.
Now im guessing if you normlly cant build in faction territory (non-faction members) you wouldnt be able to claim this chunk anyway.
Are there any kind of mechanisims in place to prevent users and or admins from claiming an area inside faction owned land? or inside of towny towns? These plugins offer there own type of plots.

Hi, please PM me and we can figure out what exactly you need to do to get it working.
@elirock12
Are there any errors in the console? Which version of Bukkit are you running? What version of GriefPrevention are you running?
@Jnk1296
You most certainly can! Look for the option that makes it so that players have to have permission in order to claim, and remove the worlds that you don't want players claiming in in the config.
@belchinbertha
What are you using to edit the files? I recommend using Notepad++
@joseph96
Unfortunately that really isn't possible with this plugin. If they add the functionality that the turtle mimics the real player as far as block breaks, etc. then it would be compatible.

Posted Apr 9, 2013How do I disable the spam function? It's banning people for saying "Hi".
I should add that I have tried disabling spam by changing true to false, but it always says it was an invalid entry and changes it back.
Ok, enabling eavesdrop doesn't work either. Change it from false to true & it goes right back. Am I doing something wrong? Please PM me??

Posted Apr 9, 2013Does this plugin affect a player's gamemode? Every time someone logs into my server they are in survival mode, regardless of what they were in when they logged off. Could this have come from GP? Thanks

Posted Apr 9, 2013Hey, just a quick question. Is there a way I can limit usage of this plugin to a specific world using PEx? I'm wanting to introduce this on my server as a plugin for use in one single world, as we're still running Towny.

Posted Apr 9, 2013@Tux2, would you have any idea why when I manually create a file with the GP format for land protection it shows up on the dynmap but isn't actually protected? I would like to use the api, but sadly I am web programmer which doesn't get along with java.
I am wanting to build conversion tools from worldguard/residence to gp etc via a web form....which I have basically done but it just doesn't register it as a protected area. (Yes I do set the next claimID to the real next one. Still doesn't work.
So if you have ideas please let me know.

Switch your shovel to /adminclaims mode.
@ManBeastPigDev
There's aliases for most of the commands in the description which are only 2 or 3 letters long

Not vanilla, but you can get a Vanilla feel by running CraftBukkit with no plugins, and run it with Grief Prevention if you wanted only that plugin.
