Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Jan 19, 2013**Tekkit Lite Problem**
**Howdy. This is a fantastic plugin, however, I can not implement it.**
**Specs:**
Tekkit Lite <- You already know where I am going.
2.2GB Memory
Honeypot
EnjinMinecraftPlugin
Vault
Latest Bukkit Forge
**Problem:**
The plugin "works" players are able to place a chest, and it does show their boundary. However, players are still able to blow it up with TNT, Creepers ect. TNT Can be detonated above sea level and causes typical damage. Water and lava can flow into a claimed area. What I am getting at, there is NO protection.
Also, whenever a player tries to widen their claim, even a small amount. The plugin broadcast back that they need a HUGE amount of credits to continue. If you examine any area with a stick, it says the block is both claimed and is not claimed.
I assume this is something to do with how the world loads and saves now. However, I am not experienced enough to fix it myself. Any help would be VERY appreciated. I really LOVE the look of your plugin and if you can get it to work with Tekkit Lite, it is not a huge step away from Voltz. I would be willing to donate any amount just to get this working.

Posted Jan 19, 2013EDIT - After further testing, My trees in my farms all have torches next to them to have them grow faster. It seems the torches are preventing GP to plant the sapling. I tried this on a single tree outside the tree farm. When I saw the sapling wasn't planting, I then removed the torch, and still the sapling didn't appear. Just FYI as it's working fine for trees in the wild without this obstruction.
Trees are not regrowing. I have RegrowGriefedTrees: true
Using latest recommended build of Spigot CraftBukkit version git-Spigot-1.4.6-R0.3-23-g5bcb87d (MC: 1.4.6) (Implementing API version 1.4.6-R0.4-SNAPSHOT) And GP 1.2. Updating to 1.2.1 is in the works.

@thorincumming
Taking the world out of the claims enabled worlds list disables almost all of GP's features in that world.
@Maximvdw
Yeah sorry, nothing I can do about grief problems created by other plugins. Maybe you'll be lucky and you won't have to clean up after griefers a lot.
@xizvyrious
The home set thing definitely isn't this plugin. If this plugin were keeping the player out of the bed, the player would be getting a message about him not having the owner's permission to use the bed.
@AcidicTaco
The administrative commands are listed on the setup/config/admin page. The player commands are on the player experience page.
@Medic0987
Yep, see above response to thorin.
@deleted_9935739
Can't, I didn't cover that angle. I wouldn't worry too much - signs aren't very effective, even less so than a random chat advertisement. Sign placements are logged, so if you do a search in your logs for one of the lines in the sign, you can see who placed it.
@xclucky
The wolves thing is on purpose to prevent other players from griefing your wolves while you're offline. There's no option for that sign, but I like the idea and I'll put it on the todo list. :)

Posted Jan 19, 2013There seems to be an issue with wolves not taking damage from mobs when in a claim. Also, I noticed that when a player places a sign, it puts the text in the console, but is there a way for admins to see the text in-game also?

Posted Jan 18, 2013I am having an issue with players not being able to use beds. When they click the bed it displays a message to the player "Home set.", preventing them from using it to pass night or sleep. I am not entirely sure if it is this plugin that is creating the issue but I know this has just started to happen directly after implementing this plugin. I have read through each plugin config file in hope to find something that would relate to this issue in the slightest way and have come up with no solution. I am new to this plugin and I apologize ahead of time for any noob mistakes I have or am about to make. But if anyone would lend a hand, I would be more than appreciative.
Running:
CraftBukkit Beta Build (1.4.7-R0.1) with R: 7.2.1 for CB 1.4.6-R0.3 Jan 09, 2013
(I am aware your plugin is not officially supporting 1.4.7)

Then I gues this is no use for me, as It blocks all item drops from dispensers, or item dispensers (Craftbook IC), that I want to use for my redstone server. there are plenty of other plugins that prevent the lagg issue (nolagg). ty anyway...

Okay, I think I have a general idea about the problem - it looks like Bukkit doesn't know about your worlds. What plugin are you using to manage your worlds? Switching world managers will probably fix your problem - I think Multiverse is the most popular. You might also have to run a slash command in game or edit a config file to register your world with the world management plugin you're using.

Yeah, that could happen, but they're only helping him. Whether they take the dirt away leaving a pit or build up walls around him, they're helping him out by making it harder for future attackers to move freely around his house. When they leave, he builds a quick bridge out of planks and thanks them for their help in fortifying his defenses. :) Also if he's smart, the defender has arrow slits and other options to peck away at them while they have their attention on his grass.
So if griefers start sieging lots of areas just to take away the dirt and grass, then really they're just griefing themselves - spending hours finding people to siege and then digging up worthless blocks and improving defenses. When they're done spending all that time and effort, all they have to show for it is an inventory full of dirt and players laughing at them from the safety of their houses.
Players still have lots of great options for making aesthetically pleasing builds. They just skip a few super common block types like cobble, dirt, and sand. And there are great substitutes for glass, like fence or trap doors.
@PrimerBlock
Yes, but you have to do it with the server shut down because the claim is also loaded into memory.
@ryan_the_leach
Sure. Use a format like this: [world1, world2, world3].
@imaidzi
Either delete the administrative land claim you have there, or use /trust public to give everyone permission to build there.
@Maximvdw
Why would you want players to drop items in creative mode? They have access to an unlimited supply of items, so they don't need to trade, AND griefers will drop lots of items just to lag your server.
@tomaste
Are you in database mode or file mode? Please check your logs (when you create the claim, and also when you reboot) for hints that might help me understand the problem.

Posted Jan 18, 2013I noticed that after every reboot, my city world (where /spawnregion is set) has its Grief Prevention administrative claim removed.
Not sure if I should post this to Grief Prevention, or Population Density, but since you own both, hopefully this is ok.
If I claim the land, it stays claimed till the server reboots.
