Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Admin Command...
/TotalClaimBlocks playername (gives total) /SetClaimBlocks playername (fixes total)
I have people donating for claim blocks and saying they're not getting them. It's buycraft not GP. But i can't actually check, so they might be scamming me. Admin needs to be able to check and change claim block totals.
THANKS!

Posted Jan 6, 2013Shock Horror - I found a way to grief....
If you buy land in creative mode and place lava or water in it, you can make it flow out in to unclaimed land. So if you buy a place at the top of a hill you could turn it to lava or water. Of course it doesn't go in other claims, but it looks crappy.

Universally trust someone on all your claims, same for untrust.
Might be useful as sometimes griefers gain trust of some players easily and then strike. This way they could quickly stop them in one command. eg
/UnTrustAll ALL /UnTrustAll Playername

I mean to expand claimed territory horizontally, not down. Problem occurs when i need to claim walls. I need to build additional platforms or dig additional tunnels to expand my claim.

Is there a way to move back to file storage (I'd rather not make everyone protect their stuff again)? If not, I'll just have to deal with the console spam.

Sorry, no undo for restore nature. Gotta claim stuff. :\
@chrishillz
I'm interested to know more about your motivation for the suggestion. :) What commands do you think you would be using on your server?
@iBeCreeping
File storage is overall much better. I only added support for database mode for the stubborn who refuse to believe me when I say the file mode is best.
@virtadept
I don't know the details of that plugin, but at a glance, it seems to me that you shouldn't have to give the public permissions, since they will just be interacting with villagers, and according to that plugin's description, the plugin protects the shopkeepers from damage. So, you should only need GP to protect the building , and so you should give permission to the only owner of the shop to change it. Of course if the player builds the shop himself, then presumably he creates his own land claim, and then there's nothing you have to do. Does that help?
The videos don't mention about trusting everyone because outside of administrators, it's very rare for anyone to need it (so not mentioning it keeps the video laser focused and short as possible). The administrative page (setup/config) mentions it in a couple of places. I'm sorry you had difficulty, I do want to make it easier, but I'm not sure where to call it out where it will be helpful to those who need it and not distracting to the rest.
You can already give access to claims based on permissions. Just put the permission on brackets like /containertrust [my.permissions.group]. :)
@fungreenfox
Requiring a claim for building doesn't work out, because it's difficult to guarantee that players have a golden shovel and the patience to learn how to use it in early game. So then it gets complicated - you could make an exception for chests, but then you need a crafting table placed to make a chest, and so on and so on. If you want to customize to that extent, I think you should consider customizing the plugin yourself rather than asking me to essentially build a custom plugin for your server.
The "platform in the sky" isn't a bug. It's designed to fill in giant holes in the ground. The reason it's not working for you is that you have a non-standard world where sea level isn't around y = 60. In your config file, set the "sea level override" for your world to the correct sea level, and your problem will go away. You can use /rna to quickly remove the platforms already created.
@ManBeastPigDev
GP works good for creative wilds mode, because it lets players choose their own building area with the dimensions they want, and even change their minds later. I think there's a plugin which gives infinite blocks despite being in survival mode, and maybe another plugin that will take away spawner eggs (but beware the workaround with the dispensers). So maybe you can cobble something together with a few other plugins and avoid trying to customize GP.
@fungreenfox
Thanks, I'll check that out. :)
@LegndPowerdNube
Sorry there's no option to choose the colors yourself. I changed them for everyone on my end in response to your good point about the readability of the dark blue messages.
