Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Dec 31, 2012Does anyone have a complete list of the permissions outside of the admin permissions. I remember seeing it around here somewhere, but I've visited every pages at least 3 times now and can't find it. I know there are not that many outside of the admin permissions, but I wanted to double check.

Posted Dec 31, 2012The chat hint when players say “I’m stuck / I’m trapped” is great, but can you please disable it when other players suggest “/trapped” to others? For example
Shouldn’t result in
<helpfulsoul>and<another>getting the message. Also, did you consider allowing to edit color codes for chat messages? Indigo color (used in the aforementioned
/trappedhint) isn’t the most clear in the world.-

There is no official release of Grief Prevention for CB 1.4.6 as yet. bigscary is enjoying Christmas and the New Year away from nerds/geeks like us, so I guess he'll be exercising his genious with GP as time permits, in that respect.
The issue is with animals/items vanishing without trace, and without warning is a known issue in CB 1.4.6-R0.1 - many people have reported it. Yesterday I lost about 50 wolves and all I did was have them following me around while testing - one by one, a few at a time, they just simply went astray (vanished) until none were left and this wasn't on claimed land. One of my players had 2 double-chests containing many items just vanish into thin air - they were on claimed land. I'm now running CB 1.4.6-R0.2 Beta.
Bukkit should never have changed so much of the code like they did. It's turning out to be a festive nightmare. :(

Agreed, there seems to be zero issues with Grief Prevention 7.1.3 on the latest CraftBukkit 1.4.6-R0.2 Beta (build #2583). At least if there is, I haven't experienced any of them. It's business as usual for the most essential plugin ever conceived. It truely is indispensable. No sane server owner should run CraftBukkit without it. :D
@fungreenfox
It's a known issue with CB 1.4.6-R0.1 - especially with enchanted items. I haven't had this problem but I'm not running a zillion plugins, only a few. There must be something in the Bukkit code that makes the items vanish but as yet I haven't seen any explanations or solutions as to why. From what I've read, not everyone who has reported this problem is using Grief Prevention so I doubt it lies with the plugin. I've upgraded to CB 1.4.6-R0.2 Beta and everything seems to be working 100% with Grief Prevention functions and usability. ;)

Just use the /containertrust all command on the chest(s) you want to unprotect. It's a pain in the butt if you have 100's of chests that you want public, but there is also the config option to not protect chests. Which you can turn off and wala..... however it's dangerous to do so as you'll then have to remember to protect it.

Posted Dec 28, 2012I have two suggestions:
1. Make it protected from end portals. So if an ender dragon dies above a protected claim, it doesn't drop a portal that destroys half their house.
2. Have some integration with mcMMO. People are using mcMMO's bleed feature to kill animals that are in other people's claims!

Could we have a list of plots that we are trusted on only? I dont think /claimslist lists plots you dont actually own. Subdivided ones.
Something like /TrustedList ?
Thanks
Also, Can we please re-sell subdivided plots, its desperately needed.

Posted Dec 27, 2012Does anyone know of a land renting/selling plugin that is NOT GP real estate? The plugin hasn't been touched in nearly a year and I could really use something that lets me sell or rent admin subclaims to players.
Also maybe something that allows people to farm but nothing else.. That would be nice.

Posted Dec 26, 2012Bigscary: I've been having a griefprevention glitch where when a player joins, there always is a huge line of endless blocks that are auto-claimed for them, I've had this glitch for a while with lots of players... is this something I can fix in the config?
