Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Dec 21, 2012Hey bigscary, hope you are doing well. Would it be possible to add a config value between the 2000 millisecond message time for spam detection? My players were complaining a lot so I had to lower it.

Posted Dec 20, 2012In testing 7.1.3 with the latest recommended build, GriefPrevention doesn't respect the "NoSurvivalBuildingOutsideClaims" option in config.yml. Gives a message about needing to lay a claim before a user can build, regardless of whether it is set to true or false.
EDIT: regenerating config.yml fixed the issue.. if anyone else is having this problem

Posted Dec 20, 2012DO NOT download the latest version unless you have also updated your CraftBukkit to the latest RB.
7.1.3 Fixes
@add5tar
Unless you install an extension plugin like grief prevention real estate (see link above), there's no way to transfer a claim from a player to another player.
@amojica
It may not be an issue with your yaml format itself, but the format of the file from a grief prevention standpoint. For example if you indent a line too much, it becomes a child of the node above it instead of a sibling.
@wicked321
It's not possible to make two land claim plugins play nicely together, unless you set them up so that they are never both turned on for the same world.
@FordRacer2007
That's because you aren't using the build it was built for. Bukkit made breaking changes. That's fixed in the new GP version.
@fungreenfox
What's a player fold? Are you running in creative mode for that world?
@Pixiyo
You can give claim blocks by permission, but only at a flat rate. Not increased accrual. /acb [permission.node]
@gaculu
Should be fixed in new versions, please update and check again.
@Zilacon
Because comments are sufficient, and a lot more user friendly (I don't expect all server admins to go through the pain of learning Jenkins just to tell me they have a problem).
I'll build a GP to match a dev build ONLY if there's a known issue with 1.4.6 for GP AND it's been at least a week since the patch and there's still no recommended build available. Jumping in too early is asking for serious problems, so I gotta hedge my bets.

No, it won't.
It's designed to break plugins on EVERY update so developers are forced to update.
