Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Nov 23, 2012Just a little side note, but I notice the only help I can find to reload configuration for all of your plugins is to use the /reload command but unforchantly Forge has disabled this command on Tekkit servers so I have to totally restart my server to reload config. Could you add a general command like /gp that can serve to reload config (/gp reload), view version (/gp version) and view available commands (/gp or /gp help).

You must have misunderstood me... When you leave pvp-worlds in the config blank it refills it in with all the worlds. I want to handle pvp protection my own way not GP's way. So a way to disable GP's pvp protection would be nice.

I hook the item frame with my fishing rod. I don't beat it with the stick part.

Posted Nov 23, 2012I have a creative world where ppl can build stuff, and use to claim an area. When area is made, it also makes a "carpet" of two blocks hight up in the sky, at same size as the area.
Any idea how to avoid this?

I get a "Unknown Command" error when I enter this:
adjustclaimblocks areaprotection.members 1500
(made up a permission so I remember that I gave them those blocks, since it does not come with permissions)

Thanks for the update bigscary! Testing it out right now. :D
Nice one!!! <3
@n33dy1
Can you give exact details of how you are destroying item frames with a fishing rod? For example, I can destroy all item frames in my own claims (or on unclaimed land) with anything I like, my fist, some wheat, a stick, etc. I cannot destroy item frames in someone elses claim(s) with a fishing rod, or anything other item I've tested with.

Posted Nov 23, 2012Having this weird thing if you place netherrack in a wool chimney sort of thing and light it the 4 blocks to the sides of the flame will disappear but no event seems to triggered perhaps because I don't see it in my logging plugin. Not sure if it's something to do with this plugin or something to do with Bukkit but thought I should mention it.

@n33dy1
I agree it's not a great experience, but it's a very rare situation that there's an admin who insists on building in an area where players have already invested, and is willing to destroy their work in the process.
@ManBeastPigDev
It's only land management to the extent that you need to manage permissions for your area. It doesn't have non-anti-grief land management features like selling or renting land, or adding a welcome message, or charging money to enter the area, and so on.
I do not accept bribes. :)
@FordRacer2007
Done in the new version, use /accesstrust for placing boats.
@Delocaz
Will you please be more specific about which features you think you don't need for your creative mode server?
@n33dy1
I tried to reproduce that bug with the latest CB beta build, but it didn't work for me. Please update to that build and try again - if you can still do it, try to give more detailed steps, because I might be doing something slightly different than you are (there might be "a trick to it").

Posted Nov 22, 2012SUPER BAD BUG ALERT: You can destroy item frames with fishingrods! :(
Not really a bug, just something not covered that Bukkit is allowing at the moment and may not even know about.
It sucks for shop owners though...

Posted Nov 22, 2012You should split this up into parts. For example, I run a Creative server and would really like the TNT/creeper/water/lava protections and the restorenature tool, but don't want all the other bloat.

I've also seen and heard many players ask the same question. They want a safe haven, a protection-zone, a PvP-free area. Somewhere where they cannot be attacked or attack others.
My questions in reply are always the same. Why do you need it? For what purpose would a protection zone serve? How would/could it be exploited? What's the benefit of a special PvP-free zone when Grief Prevention allows you to build your own house (with lockable doors) and protect it, where you can afk without the fear of being attacked?
My opinion is: it's a bad idea, period, on PvP servers. If bigscary implemented such a feature I'd like to be able to turn it off. NO WAY would I allow any 10 year olds with anger management issues to abuse the hell out of me while stood inside their little safe no-PvP zone! Creating a no-PvP area in their own house is just giving them a free ticket to become gold medalist lamers. It's not needed when GP does a most excellent job of protecting claims.
<edit> after-thought : a PvP-free zone in their own house would render siege-mode useless?

Posted Nov 22, 2012Hi, me again with another suggestion :D. I created a Admin Claim to protect a small little island where players start off. The island is obviously not square so the claim extends into some of the water. Here's my issue/suggestion, I gave players a boat to start with to navigate away from the island, and they can't place it down inside the claim. I know why you have done this, to prevent boat grief, could you please allow boats to be placed with either /accesstrust or /containertrust? Thanks :), also, I can't find your Donate button either like ManBeastPigDev said.

Posted Nov 22, 2012I know pvp in a pvp world isn't a grief issue, thats fair enough.
I thought being able to disable it in your house might be a cool feature.
Everyones asking for it so I'm passing on their request.
Your plugin is by far the best anti grief plugin that has been made.
But it kind of IS a land management plugin too.
I think it's worth adding a couple of features from your to-dont list
PS your donate button is missing.
I can't find it.
Do you accept bribes?

Posted Nov 21, 2012I have an idea for a new feature. What if you select an area (either with something from GP or maybe with WorldEdit) and then you type /deleteAllSelected to clear out any claims inside or even partly inside that selection? Sometimes I want to claim something large but a lot of users made tons of other claims in it that they no longer use so I have to tirelessly fly around flooding my chat with "No one has claimed this block." messages.

Oh I see what you mean now. So if I would simply use another permission that's already there or make up a permission to attach the command to in a sense?
Also, is there a way to disable the auto chest protection? Some people just want to have a chest and use lockette with a friend. I like both plugins.

Posted Nov 21, 2012Is it possible to limit the depth of protect?
I see a default depth setting, but I don't want players to be able to just dig down to bedrock and have all that protected. For example, I want to limit to 30 blocks deep. If they want to go deeper, they need to protect there area with a door and not leave a hole.
