Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Yeah, wtf are Mojang up to? Yesterday 1.4.4. Today 1.4.5. The CraftBukkit RB is STILL 1.3.2!!!
This is crazy shit. I wait for the day when Minecraft becomes CraftBukkit and all this confusion might end. :S

1.4.4 will never come. Right now it's 1.4.5 Minecraft versions come faster than the devs can bring out bukkit beta builds. :(

Posted Nov 16, 2012Since ForgeBukkit is dead, and tekkit will probably be following it, can you see if you can add compatibility for Feed the Beast (FTB) early on to get more adoption?

You could turn that feature off, if it is causing problems.
Set the 'AutomaticNewPlayerClaimsRadius' setting to -1.

Posted Nov 15, 2012Would there be a way to make the claim block not be a chest, and be something else such as a dispenser, or a sponge or something? The whole concept of it being a chest is annoying a lot of my players, including me because when i'm trying to make shops it gets in the way.
Thanks!

Posted Nov 15, 2012The /deleteclaim is leaving one slice of the claim left. So 1x(Width of one side of the claim). Therefore not removing everything entirely.

LOL, sorry about that. It's hard to please everyone. :- p But I (and other people using teleportation plugins that don't use commands) apreciate you taking my plight into consideration!

LOL holy shit. I swear I can't win. Folks screamed for two weeks about hunger games problems, and then when I fix that, here's a complaint about how you wanted that thing that was creating a problem for hunger games. :)
I'll see about putting it back in as a config option, defaulted to off.
@nytemare3701
Sorry no. You can give players bonus blocks based on their permissions already (it's not EXACTLY what you're asking for, I understand) using /adjustclaimblocks. It's even usable from the console, so you can grant blocks for votes or donations.
To me this falls into the area of "custom code I'd really like for my server". You could customize GP (see repository above) or write an extension plugin (see API link above) to fit your customization needs. :) It's possible others would also want this, but I think it would be very few, and implementing it would be a lot of work for me.
@leiger
Damn sorry, I must have forgotten to hit the "push" button after the "commit" button.
@Confuzzled77
Haha @ the "admins can't read this" sign. :) I'll see about the books... but initially I worry about the potential for massive log spam, considering how much text a player can paste into a book. And every edit would also have to be logged... hmm.
For the future, your best response to a situation like the above would be to pretend you didn't notice, and then make a mental note. If you have a potentially dishonest player, it's best to give him enough rope to hang himself with - if he doesn't know you're listening, then that's how you get the "good stuff" later.
@kwesting4
Use the VotifierScripts plugin. It's easy to configure that plugin to type a console command, for example /adjustclaimblocks <voter> 100; /tell <voter> Thanks for voting!
@jayfella
Beware that the corner may change in the case of a resize. :) Good luck!
@TYLRDA
Mostly. There are a few features which are server wide, like for example the fire spread setting is either on or off.

Ok, well thanks for replying and giving me the heads-up on the permissions lists. I can use a corner location on a sub-claim as a unique identifier since sub-claim corners can't be shared or overlapped. It requires a lot more code than just a regular ID since i now have to track plot size changes too, but hey, c'est la vie.
Keep up the good work <3

Ah, subdivisions is a good idea for farmed areas. I never thought of that. I may still add a feature to a plugin I'm slowly making for farming permissions.

Posted Nov 14, 2012I have a request as well:
You show the [Grief Prevention] Sign Placement: TEXT in the command line.
Can you also show written books text in the command line when they are signed or something like that? I just had a user write a sign that said "The admins can't see this" and I confronted him, but then he asked if I could read books, so I don't want them communicating without me knowing..ha. I wish I could trust them.
Anything like that possible?

Agreed. I'd like to give my donators a slightly higher BlocksAccruedPerHour rate.
Can't say I'd personally have a need for the multiplier, however.
@bigscary
The 7.0 file hasn't been uploaded or approved here yet, so it is not visible for us. It seems that GitHub is about 7 days old, as well. Could you push to the repo so we can compile it, or upload a copy elsewhere? :D
Thanks.
