Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Thanks for the reply Bigscary
Is there a way I can manually add a player to GriefPrevention? That could likely solve my issue. I created a file in GPs data folder copied from another player and edited the name, but I was unable to transfer the claim to the player. Does the transferee need to be logged in for a transfer to work?

Just checked our permissions, nobody has griefprevention.createclaims in any of our worlds at all.
They are able to create claims in the normal world though, so i assume i have the permissions side turned off.
Yeah, looking at the config, i have "CreationRequiresPermission" set to 'false'.

Posted Sep 29, 2012SimpleClans integration would be awesome! Claimblocks shared within a clan, and also pvp allowing "Conquerblocks" so you can conquer claimed areas if you can out-pvp them. I'd move to this from factions in a heartbeat if that were possible. :)

Posted Sep 29, 2012I love this plugin! However there is one simple feature missing which would allow for so much more flexibility.
I am setting up the plugins for a pvp server and do thorough testing before running the server with new plugin configuration.
As I was testing I found this issue: The ability for people to use /BuyClaimBlocks is a way for them to protect their money in the form of claim-block assets so that they can't lose their money on death and it can't be transferred to the player who defeated them. (making territory claims is the only thing money is used for on this server).
Is there a way (or could it be added) to make it so that users cannot purchase claimblocks, but instead as they make a claim it charges directly from their money after highlighting the claim and prompting the user for confirmation asking if they actually want to purchase that land.
If there is no way of doing this currently or you don't think it should be added to the plugin, then would you mind if I try to add it into the plugin for my server? (I've not made a plugin before but I have Java experience) If this doesn't end up working I might have to use a different anti-greifing plugin that does take money directly on claiming land, but I really like this plugin and hope that this works.

Posted Sep 29, 2012creepers are blowing up paintings in protected areas. Using default configs.
6.5.1 (i am going to retest with 6.6)
(update) I am also converting from towny so I am going to verify conflicts on a test server. same for worldguard, but in worldguard I have already disabled painting destructions by creepers... so it is odd that it isn't already blocked!

Posted Sep 29, 2012Seems that i can't buy claim blocks by using the commands, it doesn't tell me that it's the wrong command, or that the commands doesn't exists. when i press enter it sends the command like it should, but no money are drawn from my account, and no blocks are given to me. don't know if my players have had this problem, but it's quite annoying. i do have a tempoarry sollution, but it's quite unpracticle. btw i do have the required permissions, and i'm op, so it should work.
any way to fix this

@sillyrosster
That sounds like an extreme problem, but it isn't working for me. Does it work for you, have you tried it? Remember to make sure your /ignoreclaims is turned off when you try.
@LeeTheENTP
I'm glad you figured it out. :)

Ah ha! I got it to work! This plugin just keeps getting better and better!
Keep up the great work! I've recommended this plugin to all the server owners who were open to suggestion, and I use this one, Population Density, and AntiXRay!

Hi!
This plugin is great, but I was wondering if there is a way to allow a trust level in a claim to certain permission groups. I couldn't find it in the article or in the Administrative Details section, so if I missed it please let me know!
Or, if this hasn't been implemented yet, would it it be possible to implement it? That would be great.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Posted Sep 28, 2012So, my users have figured out a way to grief inside claims.. Pretty much, they get stuck, so the plugin asks them if they are trapped in someones claim, then they type '/trapped' and suddenly can build inside the claim, allowing them to grief it.
I don't know if this is supposed to happen, but it's happening.

Are you still using that spigot thing? I'm not officially going to support anything other than bukkit recommended builds. If you try a recommended bukkit build and still have those issues, send me those details.
@imaweasal
Sorry no, due to TNT physics, it's not possible for me to determine whether TNT exploding inside a claim was placed there by the claim owner (which means it should be allowed to destroy blocks) or "pushed" into the claim by another explosion (which means it should not destroy blocks, because it could be from a player who doesn't have permission in the claim).
@ray73864
It's only the one player? That would be extremely odd. Try going to you nether world and creating your own private claim there (not /adminclaims). Do you have per-world permissions? If so, do you have the "claim creation requires permission" config option on, and is it possible that some players do not have the "griefprevention.createclaims" permission in all worlds?

We are using multiverse.
Neither multiverse nor grief-prevention mentions any issues about finding the world in question.
I've really only had this come to me as second hand information though, will have to wait till a player logs on who is playing in our survival world to see if it is still an issue.

Posted Sep 27, 2012Is there a way to allow players to use tnt on their claimed lands? Right now, they can use it underground in unclaimed areas, but when they're in their own claim, it has no effect. Thanks.

That's normal for 5.5.1 admin claims, which allow all players to use buttons, levers, and containers in the area. The design has sense been changed.
For now, you can work around this by using /transferclaim to make the claim your own personal claim, which will reduce the permissions to only those you explicitly add.
:)

Posted Sep 27, 2012I'm having a slight issue with Adminclaims and players without admin rights being able to open containers in the adminclaimed area no trusts given. Normal players only have the griefprevention.claims permission. I dont see a toggle for this in the config. Im running GP 5.5.1 on a Tekkit server only other plugins essentials, dynmap, tekkitcustomizer and permissionsex.
