Give Anything Listener
Introduction
| This is a plugin that works with Votifier 1.8 or higher, and as such should be placed inside the plugins folder NOT the listeners one. | |
| This plugin listens to voting events passed from Votifier and allows you to reward players with anything when they vote for your server. | |
| If you can type it as a command you can use it to in this plugin! | |
| The Plugin works like a lot of the other listeners, but gives the user a detailed Configuration, on how to setup the broadcast message, and the colour / control codes they can use, Like {BOLD} etc... | |
| This Plugin REQUIRES Votifier 1.8 or above! | |
| When installing you must place the GAListener.jar into your /plugins folder. | |
| It will then create a config.yml inside of the folder which you can edit to your liking! |

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish.

If you're with a hosting company it is likely that your VOTIFIER port is in use as everyone attempts to use the default 8192. Check with your host to see what port is available to use.
If you're using your server at home, you need to port forward port 8192 just like you forwarded port 25565 for Minecraft.
Its not an issue with GAL, its an issue with Votifier hearing the report but if you didn't configure the port correct, never going to hear it.

Posted Sep 18, 2014Don't you just hate it when half the people who use this plugin cant get it working and there is no help from the authors regarding the issue? Its lovely!
So yeah same problem other users have:
Votes dont get recognized by the server so rewards arent given and the reward broadcast messages arent showing up

Posted Sep 14, 2014Is there anwyay to make it so if the player is offline the vote doesn't count. I have a bungee server with votesend and when someone votes its giving them x5 votes on the counter. I would like it so you only get 1 vote if you vote once.

Posted Sep 10, 2014Ok I set this up with my server but how do I edit /vote to link to Planet-Minecraft. When I do vote on it nothing happens in the server. No message nothing. How do I make it so when people do /vote it will show them were to vote and they will actually get stuff.

Posted Aug 8, 2014my server auto-updated to the 1.7.9-R0.2 from the before 1.7.9-R0.1, now GAL is not responsive, the voting sites that allow a test vote show Votifier is working fine, but as far as rewards and in-game, GAL isn't doing anything now. no error messages or anything, not rewarding or notifying in-game, the /vote command works.

Posted Aug 1, 2014How do I reset the votes? I want cumulative votes every month to be totally fresh. I want everyone to start. I deleted gal.db but that only reset /topvotes, no more. I want to reset the {vote} count.
