Give Anything Listener
Introduction
| This is a plugin that works with Votifier 1.8 or higher, and as such should be placed inside the plugins folder NOT the listeners one. | |
| This plugin listens to voting events passed from Votifier and allows you to reward players with anything when they vote for your server. | |
| If you can type it as a command you can use it to in this plugin! | |
| The Plugin works like a lot of the other listeners, but gives the user a detailed Configuration, on how to setup the broadcast message, and the colour / control codes they can use, Like {BOLD} etc... | |
| This Plugin REQUIRES Votifier 1.8 or above! | |
| When installing you must place the GAListener.jar into your /plugins folder. | |
| It will then create a config.yml inside of the folder which you can edit to your liking! |

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish.

Posted Dec 6, 2012I got a problem with this plugin, I use my (localhost) test server to configure and test this plugin together with Votifier and it seems to be working perfectly. I then upload my GA Listener plugin over to my real server and all it says is ''This server was voted for by <name>'', as a default configuration of Votifier, almost like GA Listener is being ignored. It does not give you rewards, nor announces anything (except for the default voting message - But that's a broadcast from Votifier itself).
I'm using latest votifier (v1.9) and latest GA Listsner (v0.3).
I got FlatFileVoteListener and InGameBroadcastListener both installed in the /plugins/votifier/listeners folder.
Please help? Thanks!

You have your command as '/mute {username} 30m' for example - Assuming you run a plugin that has the mute command such as Essentials.

The general reason that they do that is because they want to list their server on a website the doesn't support votifier, although this use to be a reasonably effective method most people understand that you dont have to vote anymore. If you would like one I have one that I can give to you, you will just need to configure it to your MySQL database.

Posted Nov 10, 2012Is the way to make a time limit on the commands? Say I wanted to give a player /mute for a limited amount of time. Would that be possible?

Posted Nov 9, 2012yeh ive seen something similar, i was just wondering if it was done by a listener/plugin or if it was controlled at the website
prime example is spartanmc a server ive checked out
i think il go the easy route as you suggested and just divide by the number of sites, its only 3 so no biggie

I've seen sites use a special page that tracks which links have been clicked on by the player, after clicking on each of the links, the player can 'Claim' their reward. This doesn't guarantee that the user voted, only that they clicked on each of the links.

This plugin doesn't do that, and I don't think it would readily be possible. Can't help but feel that'd be a bad idea anyways. Players get deterred when they're forced to go through extraneous steps for something like that.
Calculate how much you want to reward, total, that you would give out for voting on all of the listings, and divide it by the number of listings.
