Giants
Giants That Spawn Naturally
This plugin takes direct inspiration from FatMarleys' plugin FatGiants, which in turn was inspired by NaturalGiants. This plugin also takes inspiration from NodinChan's MobJockeys.
This plugin was originally written by rmh4209, continued on by pkt77, and is now in the hands of Mammothskier.

Features
The Giants Plugin can naturally spawn Giants that have 8 Configurable attack mechanisms Configurable Health, Experience, Drops, and Spawn in configurable Worlds and Biomes. “The worst thing you can say about homework is that it is too hard. The worst thing you can say about a game is it's too easy.”
Attack Mechanisms
Attack Descriptions
| Attack Mechanisms | Description |
|---|---|
| Default | The default Minecraft Giant attack - if a player is inside the giants legs, the player will instantly die. |
| Lightning Attack | When a giant targets an entity, that entity will be struck by lighning |
| Thow Boulder Attack | When a player is 5-10 blocks away from a giant, there is a chance the giant will "Throw" a Fireball in the direction the giant is facing |
| Stomp Attack | When a player gets close to a giant, there is a chance the giant will stomp the player |
| Kick Attack | When a player gets close to a giant, there is a chance the giant will kick a player at a configurable height |
| Fire Attack | When a giant targets an entity, that entity will get set on fire and so will the giant (configurable) |
| Lava Attack | When a giant targets an entity, it can sets lava under that entity |
| Poison Attack | When a player gets near a giant, there is a chance that it will poison the player |
| Shrapnel Attack | When a giant targets a player, the giant will spawn zombies around the player (configurable) |
| Spawn Zombies on Death | When a giant dies, a configurable amount of zombies will spawn in that location |

MC Stats
This plugin uses mcstats for stat collection. You can opt out of this by going into the plugin metrics folder and setting opt-out to true.

Posted Mar 12, 2014Hey man few thoughts came to mind the other day. Also found a few bugs with the latest snapshot builds.
The thoughts:
I got to thinking. You know giants are much much bigger than players. Doesn't make much sense they should recieve knockback. *wink wink* So why not make knockback togglable eh?
Bugs:
Im sure you already know but...
Shrapnel attack still not functioning. Giants take damage but no zombies spawn after giant takes damage.
Bows still appear to give damage. But dont actually do the damage.
Magma cube lava attack doesnt appear to be working.
All slimes and Magmacubes make the death noise and give the set drop.
MAgmacubes seem to be unkillable c.c Wasted a whole dsword with sharp V on one haha.
bows with flame still give giants damage. (sets them ablaze) countering the nerf.
Thats all ive managed to find. Imk sure you probably already knew most of this.
Sorry for being such a bother with suggestions and stuff :C

Deekondvg, thanks for the great comments! Unfortunatly I believe tthat pigmen do not have a spot in the giants plugin right now. For your suggestion I have much better news for you! Shrapnel attack will be available in a few days!

Posted Mar 7, 2014I kow this isnt really a part of "giants" but i would really love to be able to have zombie pigmen and baby zombie pigmen spawn in the main world with configurable rates and armors naturally. I think adding onto this or making a plugin for this would be right up your ally <3
A suggestion while I'm here. Shrapnel attack - when giant is hit. Will spawn a either a zombie, an agro'd pigmen, agr'd baby pigmen, o baby zombie. This would most likely be an alternative to the zombie attack mech. Or a different outtake of the attack.
Btw thank you so much for picking up this plugin and being so active with it. My staff, our players and I really appreciate it.

Posted Mar 5, 2014I love the plugin! Really great job on it, it adds a lot of fun to my server.
However, would it be possible to add decimals to the "kick" attack height setting? If I have it at 1, the player barely takes any damage from the fall, but setting it to 2 makes them fly high enough to die without diamond armor. When I set the height to 1.5 or 1.75 it doesn't seem to have any difference from 1.

Posted Feb 18, 2014@requ13m_xiii Hey, Glad you enjoy it. :) For whatever reason the chance system isn't working and from what I can tell it hasn't worked in a lot of the previous versions. I will get that working in the next few days. :) As for the the world guard support I will work on fixing the region flags as soon as possible. Regarding the slimes and magma cubes a significant amount of rewriting the plugin needs to be done to make this work. Once I fix a few other things maybe I can add them. :)

Posted Feb 17, 2014First of all, fantastic plugin! The addition of Giant attack abilities made them a truly unique addition to my server. I have two suggestions if I may; first an ability to add a little chance to the item drop system. The current system works fine although I personally would like the ability to offer a larger array of loot to make it feel less like farming giants for set loot like zombies and their feathers back in beta.
Secondly I'd like to see some sort of WorldGuard region flag compatibility if it's at all possible. I try to have an area around my initial Spawn without mob spawning to give the players a bit of a safe buffer zone (I co-run an extra hard mode survival server). The Giants plugin doesnt obey the mob-spawning deny flag from world guard so ive set up a clock that kills all giant entities within a 100 radius under my spawn. Id love the addition of giant slime/magma cubes as previously suggested but having to kill those mobs by "hand" within spawn as well would just mean 2 additional kill blocks for those mobs in 'safe zones'.

If I'm not mistaken it can't be updated until spout is updated to 1.7.x. Also the last build was back in January 2013 and I believe that spout has changed a lot since then so it would require a lot of work to update it.However, I am not 100% sure on this because I have never used spout until recently.
