Extra Hard Mode
Extra Hard Mode changes the game rules to create NEW, INTERESTING CHALLENGES for players who have mastered the core game. Unlike Mojang's "hard" mode or other plugins' "hardcore" modes which just punish you more for making mistakes without actually changing game mechanics, Extra Hard Mode delivers interesting new challenges for advanced players.

Recommended Plugins
- Make tree logs and branches fall when chopped with GraviTree. Set "FallingLogsDamagePlayers" to true in its config for an extra challenge!
- For anti-grief, avoid plugins that disable explosions entirely, because that will undermine the cave-in mechanic and the new improved TNT.
- Avoid plugins which allow players to teleport themselves out of danger when they're in combat or lost. Especially avoid plugins which add commands like /home, /back, and /tpa, since they will undermine the difficulty VERY much. Consider instead a teleportation plugin like Population Density, which allows players to teleport only between teleportation posts it places on the surface every 400 blocks.
- You might want to look into balancing villagers. Having diamond gear tradable for very easily farmable materials will undermine the difficulty. I use Rebalance Villagers to make the trades harder.
Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- Config options that are activated, allowing me to see what people use (or don't)
You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish. If you want to see the stats, you can go here

Planned yes, ideas not really. The Enderdragon was always a joke, so that needed serious fixing. The Wither is quite tuff imo, if you don't have really good armor. What I wanted to do with the Wither was to at least block spawning underground, cause he gets a lot easier if he is encaged. Also I wanted to block summoning him in a bedrock trap. More exp would be a pretty good idea and maybe even some random custom drops... As to making him even more difficult? I don't really know,... yet.

I have got a very big overhaul of the breeding system in mind, which will fit into the theme of Extrahardmode. I will start working on it after I have released 3.3 which will mainly be a bugfix overhaul update, with some extra goodies. This includes changes to the amount of exp you gain from breeding animals.
I still have to think if I'm going to limjt exp gathering even more. I have observed that you can gain a pretty large amount of exp from gathering quartz ore in the nether.
I'm still thinking of how much I am going to take away from the game in comparison to what I'm going to add to the game in form of new mechanics etc.
What I have in mind for the animals is going to be a good all around package. It has always irked me that the way people treat animals in mc has nothing to do with real life. I want to change that and make players respect their animals a bit more....
Changing the amount of exp you get from breeding animals is going to be a part of that.

Posted May 18, 2013Can you add a option to limit experience gained from feeding animals. I have players who build massive chicken farms and gain massive levels by one-two feeding sessions. I have already nerfed grow rate for food in effort to curb it.

When config is:
No Farming Nether Wart: true
wart cannot be grown anywhere.
Here's the 3.2.2 config options for the Pigmen:
PigZombies:
Always Angry: true
Always Drop Netherwart In Fortresses: true
Percent Chance to Drop Netherwart Elsewhere In Nether: 20
Here's the 3.3 config options for the Pigmen:
PigZombies:
Always Angry: true
Always Drop Netherwart In Fortresses: true
Percent Chance to Drop Netherwart Elsewhere In Nether: 20
Spawn on Lighting Strikes:
Enable: true
As you can see, on my server, killing the pigmen will have a 1:5 chance of dropping wart outside of the fortress. Default is 0, so make sure you change it to your needs.
Inside the fortress, the drop is either on or off.

"Nether wart isn't farmable. Instead, players can get more by killing zombie pigmen in nether fortresses."
I had a player say he killed 40 zombie pigmen and got 1 netherwart. Do you have to kill them IN the fortress to get netherwart dropped or is that just the regular drop rate?
Is that drop rate configurable?

You can also get netherwart from killing ZombiePigmen in the Nether, but of course if you find a fortress you are set.

Does this mean you can't plant them in the fortresses ether? I have a player who is concerned that the only way they will be able to find Nether Wart is to search out all the fortresses.

I tried both a WorldGuard region with the ghast-fireball flag set to 'deny' as well as PreciousStones 'city protection plots' with the prevent-explosions flag set (though they don't specifically mention ghasts, I believe they stop normal ghast fireballs). I'd be ok with just the WorldGuard region support if it came to it.

Which protection plugins have you tried? Most protection plugins don't block explosions from other plugins by default. I have some idea how I could potentially label all explosions as creeper explosions. I haven't tried yet and I consider it more of a hack. But still better than when your world gets destroyed....

This is an error I get sporadically aswell. It seems to be related to the FallingBlocks and I have the feeling that it's a clientside bug or a bukkit bug. I'm not sure yet. Maybe you could collect some errorlogs from your players? They are located in the minecraft directory and usually are named something like hs_error.pid. If you can get some errorlogs you could open a ticket and attack the errors and I will see what I can do about it.I think I have found the cause of that error-

yes, but its hard for me like set OAK_LEAVES or OAKLEAVES like that. :)
and i found bug , when my player using Tree Feller (mcmmo) with (EHM)better tree felling : true my minecraft and their minecraft crash but not for bukkit server no error detected in bukkit console.

Posted May 9, 2013I sort of wish I could lower the number of webs spiders place on death from 3 to 2 (or configurable). There's sooo many webs and they don't always disappear :/
